That image doesn't tell us anything, he could be an illegitimate son of Imu, conceived with one of the thousands of slaves they have at Marijoas. Zoro always fights a lesser version of Luffy's opponents, I'll make two examples. One, Crocodile couldn't be damaged because of his DF power the same way how Daz Bones couldn't be damaged as well. Two, Kaido had a hard skin and was hard to damage, same as king. And if you look at the opponents that both Luffy and Zoro fought, most of them have similar powers with few exceptions.
