How would you explain Harald’s tattoo? They’re friends.
I just know Harald's design has some references from Kratos God of War, they have tattoo on the same part of the face but the design is different. Tbh I'm not quite sure what the tattoo was for, it just look like some normal Scandinavian tattoos, or could be for fashion purposes. Maybe it has something to do with the Sun God as the shape is looks like half the Sun, like the sunrise from the East, symbolize the dawn??? Xebec has the lightning strike while Harald has the Sun Dawn, could be something heavily linked to the ancient history??

Not sure how close their relationship were between Xebec and Harald, are they as close as Shanks to Harald? It strikes me for how much resemblances he has to the young selfish version of Harald which he didn't divert his path into peace and harmony. Maybe Xebec wanted an alliance with Harald to get rid of World Government but Harald seeks cooperation instead.

Nice one, yet another Harry Potter reference. Could be a hint by Oda "the boy who lived".
Rocks is coming for you Imu, better hide.

:risisweat:
If I remember correctly Voldemort killed Harry's parents, I think this could be a parallel of Imu killed Teach's father. Teach will avenge his father :goyea:

Yeah, it makes sense that Blackbeard might want to take revenge on Imu. I was just mentioning rocks, because in the Japanese community many people still believe that rocks could be alive somehow.

There was this rumor long ago that Blackbeard managed to scar Shanks, thanks to a "hidden ability". Artur retweeted that many years ago. But after a while it was just marked as a rumor, because the source was whacky.

Atleast we know that Blackbeard never sleeps, so maybe that's a good starting point for theories. That could be the reason why he visited Drum Kingdom and destroyed it, because there were no doctors left. Wapol took them all with him (except Kureha). Drum was widely known as a medically advanced country. Maybe Blackbeard tried to find a cure for his "condition"? I have no clue. Blackbeard is a very mysterious character, indeed.

A lot of people are saying this Xebec is alive, it's like pulling a Madara, I am not sure how he is able to pull it off and there are only fan theories without any solid proof yet. Maybe he has some unique abilities that we don't know yet. It's like Xebec can escape from MarieJois without a trace then why can't he do the same on God Valley? Maybe he had a backup plan or something and death is part of it?

It's weird not all people from snowy countries has unique body like Teach and people in Drum Island actually do sleep, why would Luffy mentioned they don't sleep while there are beds inside their house? Could it be a old legend dated way back to void century or maybe even longer than that. It's like the same scenario on Nami knowing the formation of Red Line.

I agree with you. As of now, the Xebec is alive theory is only head canon, but the thing with people not sleeping in snowy countries, because they would die otherwise, was the only other time stuff like this was mentioned, so naturally people would take this as a connecting point.

The interesting part is, who were the people that told the stories and from where did they hear them?

For one, we had Luffy overhearing a conversation in a "tavern".

I would like know what tavern he meant.

And later we heard a similar thing from Buggy. He also heard it from other people, but who?

It could be some sort of legend. As you said, people hear stories from time to time. Oda might even retcon this into never existing at all. Who knows? It could be from his lineage or maybe from his Mothers' side, dating back to the Void Century or something.

But interesting that you mentioned the Void Century. Maybe this was also some sort of punishment / curse on the Blackbeards family, similar to Zunesha being punished for walking for all eternity, because of a committed crime. It would be interesting to know. Does Zunesha ever stops to sleep?

My guess is just some random villagers chit chat at the tavern. Hmm that tavern Luffy grow up with where he ate the Gomu Gomu No Mi. Probably information passing from generation to generation. Honestly I don't really know, there are too little information to work with.

That's a good point of Zunisha never slept, but I think that is just part of the punishment. Was Teach's bloodline also a punishment? In a bad way I think not, Imu will not deem his race threatening if he was cursed. On contrary, it helped him a lot, more like a blessing. I think it's like what Gaban said, Teach's race is one of the unique races by long process of multiple cross breeding for 10 or 20 generations, and they lived in the same habitat for a long time, so their body is adapted to the harsh environment. It's took so long to evolve, I don't think anyone can explain it but the only Oda himself.
