Official French TL used the word "assassination" in the narrative box for what Xebec did against the admiral.
Risky choice IMO, should have went for a more neutral word.
Definitely bold. Worth noting that Oda used the active form of murder (殺害する, conjugated in the sentence as 殺害して逃走 to state he "killed the admiral and fled"), rather than his usual usage of verbs like 倒す to indicate beating/killing an opponent in a fight. Seems rather deliberate that Oda wanted the Admiral to be indisputably recognized as dead, rather than just possibly beaten or killed.

Would be interesting vindication for that translation if it turns out that Rocks went there targeting the Admiral for their fruit or something.
