Garp didn't take the Admiral position because he didn't want to serve the CDs. Fujitora took the position so he can have maximum influence, shot down the Warlord system, and gave the middle finger to the CDs in their own homeland and nobody did shit 😂
Garp doesn’t give a shit about the CDs, he openly insults them to their face. He just doesn’t give a shit about their slaves either

Issho is the only "good" marine that seems aware of how rotten the WG is actually acting on it, he deserves prop for that.
Ever since Oda made the WG comically evil I had trouble taking the marine characters that are mean to be good hearted seriously.
The only issue I have with him is the how Oda handled the reverie stuff because I have a hard time believing there would be no consequence for helping the slaves escape but maybe the WG give admirals a pass as long they don't physically harm the CDs?

It makes 0 sense that Fuji couldn’t touch Doffy because he’s a (mere) Warlord, but Fuji can go unpunished for stealing property from the gods?

I wonder if it's like a weird Japanese wank. "honorable Japanese samurai guy calls out Sakazuki and frees the slaves in the heart of Mariejois"

We don't call them "property" anymore.

Tbh anything revolving around Doffy is looking more and more badly written.
How the fuck did the CDs never manage to assassinate him when it was public that he lived in Marijoa? Just send 1 or 2 immortal HKs and that's it.
HKs only follow Imu’s direct orders. Them never going after Doffy just means that Imu never considered Doffy important enough to pay any attention to

At some point in time, Oda will most likely reveal a HK who had history with Doffy. We know for a fact that the celestial dragons tried to kill him, and the Hk are the only CD's who seem like they could even commit to trying.

They could be like the Cracker/Jack of the Hk,and maybe from Doffy's family. Doffy could also even have a history with young Shamrock

We Genin Neji kings over here chilling
:steef:
Great character, though Neji might have the most unjustified L's in Shonen history.
