Now You See Me 2.
Typical heist film/oceans eleven with magicians, like the 1st one.
Fun film, unbelievably ridiculously in some parts but it's really cool that Dave Franco
got obsessed with learning sleight of hand, cardistry and such, and thus what you see, the insane card based acrobatics are actually him doing it supposedly. Gambit would be proud lmao.
I like the cast but the new girl to replace Iska Fisher was mostly obnoxious, unfunny but was fairly better when she was more serious.
Daniel Radcliffe was fairly cringe in this for me, I feel Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo and maybe Woody Harrelson carried this (especially the 1st two and Woody playing his "Evil twin" too, whi I'm surprised wasn't Matthew Mcconaughey lmao.)
I enjoy the spectacle of the film though, some cheeky, clever moments and it never takes itself far too seriously but has some actual dramatic, high tension moments too.
Its one of those easy going, don't think too much, just enjoy the show and ride films. I needed that lately especially due to IRL circumstances.
I'm really happy there's a 3rd one coming out and even a 4th one being made apparently now too, the 3rd one featuring a new cast to "replace" the main cast somewhat which could backfire hugely but we'll see. I like the chemistry of the current cast too. I first saw Dave Franco in the overwhelmingly hated, nobody asked for Scrubs Season 9 and you can tell he's James' brother but he's growing on me too.
