Questions & Mysteries Adult Gon and Old Netero vs Mereum

I don't think prime gon or killua is ever reaching pre rose mereum levels of power. Gon simly sacrificed all nen usage he will ever have at once to achieve that level of power. Gon training continuously for 20 years will make him a monster but he still will not be using all nen at once he will ever have.

Adult gon is strongest gon possible. And prime gon is not netero to train continuously for decades either.

Post rose meruem is beyond human level. You would need to keep adding other people's nen to achieve that kind of power.
Anyone who thinks Gon or Killua could reach Meruem level through training needs to realize that they’re reading HxH and not DBZ, Naruto, or One Piece

Meruem only survived because Pouf and Youpi allowed him to consume them

he was pretty much dead lol, park is kinda right. All the ants get wiped off if people actually cared about NGL with a simple nuke
yeah he would've died if he wasnt treated but he survived the explosion nonetheless, if i punch someone and they bleed out to die they died to bleeding out not from the punch

and yeah i agree, chimera ant is a very political arc. It was a political decision to kill meruem the way they did and netero knew.

Did you read greed island? Togashi loves powercreeps as well lol.

The HxH philosophy is more about it combat system, not how strong characters can get. The princes are quite literally getting gifted OP abilities

None of the princes can even scratch Meruem’s left testicle. Maybe Tserriednich could surpass Royal Guards since he’s a one in a billion Nen prodigy, but even he shouldn’t reach Meruem level

Feels like pre-rose Meruem is a bit underestimated. I'm also surprised to see debates about the difficulty of Meruem vs netero. A serious Meruem vs. Netero is low diff, no question. One regular punch from Meruem would’ve been enough to kill Netero, even though he was an enhancer. Hell, even his tail might have done the job. A mere flick of his tail did more damage to Pitou than a hit from the Bodhisattva. The millions of hits Netero landed did less damage if any, than what Meruem did to himself when he tore off his own arm over a Gungi bet. Says a lot about his raw strength.

Now imagine just one punch enhanced with Nen and bloodlust ,it's overkill. I'd even argue that it was harder for Meruem to precisely cut Netero’s limbs off than it would’ve been to simply kill him. He likely had multiple opportunities to end it, but because he needed Netero alive, he had to adjust his strikes, both in angle and force and was limited to only using slicing motions. He probably could’ve killed him with his tail, but since he might not have had enough control over the damage it would have done, he avoided using it.

It's like asking prime Mike tyson to make a 12year old rookie boxer surrender without hitting his head, torso, or causing any injury and only using one arm.

Went from planetary level threats to dimensional threats. HxH was definitely heading towards characters way above Meruem in the dark continent. New areas are ripe for powercreeps
