Good intro and good character designs for Kidd and his Vice Captain Killer. Their crew at Shabaody seemed like was given more effort than the rest of the Supernova crews.

Pre-TS, Kidd was hyped to be even bigger or at least on par with Luffy, especially with Kidd's Vice Captain also being a Supernova.

My Conspiracy Theory:
-Kidd was supposed to be the Supernova that will survive and is supposed to be a D.
-Law was meant to be eliminated but grew in popularity after Punk Hazard
-Oda and his team swapped Law's and Kidd's role, making law a D instead of Kidd, also making Shanks eliminate Kidd Pirates instead of Heart Pirates

Punk Hazard was obv meant to be Kidds arc too.

It still floors me that he was in Stampede but not the MUSIC themed Film Red. But given how awful that film is especially what it did to the story and Shanks character in irredeemable ways, thank God Kidd wasn't part of that film. Oda just decided to personally fuck him over canonically instead.

Kidd will return soon anyway. Guaranteed. And his haters will cry, cope, seethe, mald and conveniently change subjects, backpedal, gaslight, ask for bans, go silent or disappear when he does.

They're only acting tough because the ball is in their court but as Xebec himself said , no power lasts forever.

Every character that gets slandered receives vicious retribution towards their haters and still they dont learn.

Oda is better/wiser than Kubo. He won't waste Kidd like Kubo did to Starrk. He cares cares far more for his characters.

I do not like Kidd's character, but I love what he could be, someone who made very big mistakes in the past, like what he did to civilians, but repented of that and kept going despite having made those mistakes and having been defeated badly and getting on the right path and being way stronger

It's a travesty what Oda did to this character. Peak design, peak attitude pretimeskip. All to have him be a complete retard post skip (not learning from mistakes, no creativity in df usage or overall tactics), and a pseudo tsundere cheerleader. Had such high hopes for this man.

If I showed this to someone not reading One Piece they would think this is the final boss or something. Instead he's become a meme.

When I read for first time that Kidd is attacking Big Mom Pirates;
Between Kidd that was highest bounty among 11 supernova, the only one higher than Luffy's vs Big Mom, 1 of the Yonko, another relic from the past. A one growing in power vs another one already at peak.
I was pretty sure Kidd would won and Big Mom would fall to Kidd
My guess wasn't totally wrong but I thought Kidd would solo Big Mom no more than high diff, the usual "new gen genius > big shot from the past" trope.

Before Wano, when Kidd said he would target Red Hair, between Luffy's serious rival (looking like serious rival at least in pre timeskip) and Luffys childhood hero.
I thought Shanks would also fall to Kidd, just to raise tension between Luffy vs Kidd. Contrary to popular belief that Shanks will fall to Teach, I thought Oda would make Shanks fell to Kidd.

Fair enough lol but Oda said Kidd was meant to be way more important plus with the whole punk theme and Punk Hazard's connections to Vegapunk, it would have made sense for Kidd to be there too as well as Law and have all 3 of the Sabaody Captain Trio reunite there.

We could have had a Kidd vs Luffy or Law situation potentially, the former I'd say.

Kidd was meant to go to Egghead originally too when he did that draw with Luffy and Law at Wano, Oda is definitely setting something up with him and Vegapunk, it would fit too well with his background love of robots and thus being a sort of "mechanic/engineer" or w/e too.

Oda expected Kidd to be important initially, so that's why I believe in PH being his arc too.

Well his time will come anyway soon when he returns and gets his own saga like Law has for so many arcs too. The buildup to the Shanks arc and actually getting his revenge this time. 3rd time lucky.

The Smile story was such a fucking letdown too, such an interesting thing that Oda setup at Sabaody and the whole Punk Hazard Underworld Brokers (with Kidd watching the broadcast Caesar was doing for his Smile work, the SAD stuff and w/e?)

I did notice and know about the jolly roger thing with Law and Doflamingo too, but I was hoping Oda would explain why Whitebeard seemed to have that logo on his IV drips or w/e, with similar looking nurses to the one Doflamingo had with him too. Oh well.

Kidd didn't come to Punk Hazard is a good thing tbh. Oda saved Kidd from Vergo.

Vergo uses wooden demon bamboo, Kidd's power won't work against him. Vergo would clap Kidd hard and Oda saved him from that beatdown.

Also he has a ton of female fans who actually find him ridiculously attractive, badass, awesome and such and they love to cosplay him. Because he's no nonsense, brave, relentless and actually walks the walk, instead of just talking the talk.

The peak irony of others calling him Mid when their characters are usually mediocre and overrrated, the much safer options to Stan as the author has blatant bias to them.
