Nami's main fights have been against women: Miss Doublefinger, Kalifa, and Ulti.

CATrina Devon's draft design featured cat ears, and Nami's epithet is 'Cat Burglar.'
Nami's main fight in Skypiea was a male, and she was supposed to fight Fukuro until Oda changed his mind. This was after he established the Blackbeard Pirates, and Lafitte being a navigator never changed. Compared to other crews, it seems the Straw Hats, Red-Hairs, and Blackbeard Pirate will matchup based on roles.

Even if we ignore all of that, Lafitte is speculated to be a Siren Zoan, which are seemingly always female from their place of origin (Greek mythology). It's very likely that the Siren Zoan would turn Lafitte female. I'm not being unironic when I say this, but Lafitte's chest being out is a huge indicator of this. They turn into breast when he turns into a Siren, and he has them partially exposed to be more seductive (which is what Sirens do) towards poor (male) souls.

Lafitte having a Mythical Siren Zoan would actually further support my Brook vs. Lafitte pick.

Sirens use their alluring singing voices to affect their prey, while Brook uses his music. It would be a battle of sound.

What I've already said about the potential match-up:
I think Lafitte is more likely to be matched with either Robin or Brook, since all three originate from the West Blue. Design-wise, he fits Brook. They're both lanky and pale and carry a cane. Brook served a West Blue kingdom as the leader of a battle convoy, while Lafitte was dishonorably exiled from his position as a sheriff. You can see the contrast here.
In summary,

Brook vs. Lafitte:
- They both originate from the West Blue.
- Brook was an honored leader of a battle convoy, while Lafitte was an exiled sheriff.
- Their designs are similar in that they're both lanky and pale, but most noticeably, they both use canes.
- Brook is a musician who can use his music to affect others, while hypothetically, Lafitte could use his Siren Zoan to target others with his voice.

The potential Brook vs. Vasco Shot fight in One Piece is seen as a good matchup due to their contrasting personalities and abilities. Brook, the musician, and Vasco Shot, the drunken jester, both have unique entertainment-based fighting styles that could lead to a fun and engaging battle. Brook's musical abilities and potential to influence souls, combined with his speed and agility, could counter Vasco Shot's Glug-Glug Fruit abilities, which seem to involve manipulating alcohol. The clash of their styles, with Brook's ice-based attacks and Vasco's fire-based attacks, further enhances the appeal of this matchup.

  • Contrasting Personalities:
Brook, the skeleton musician, is known for his humor and love of music, while Vasco Shot, with his drunken appearance and demeanor, is a more chaotic and unrestrained character.

  • Opposing Abilities:
Brook's musical abilities allow him to influence opponents with sound, potentially inducing fear or even controlling them through his music. Vasco Shot, on the other hand, uses the Glug-Glug Fruit to manipulate alcohol, possibly creating illusions or using it as a weapon.

  • Elemental Clash:
Brook's attacks often involve ice, as seen with his Cold Soul and Soul Parade Iceburn techniques. Vasco Shot's Drunken Spitfire attack suggests a fire-based power, creating a natural contrast between the two.

  • Potential for Creative Combat:
The clash of their powers and personalities could lead to creative and unpredictable fight sequences. Imagine Brook using his music to counter Vasco's drunken state, or Vasco trying to use alcohol-fueled attacks to disrupt Brook's musical performance.

  • Soul Manipulation:
Brook's ability to influence souls, as seen when he copied the Road Poneglyph from Big Mom, could be a key factor in a fight against Vasco Shot. If Vasco's powers are linked to the manipulation of souls, Brook's abilities could be a crucial counter.

  • Entertainment Value:
The fight between Brook and Vasco Shot is expected to be entertaining, with both characters known for their comedic personalities and unique fighting styles. Their clash would likely be a highlight of the Straw Hats' battles against the Blackbeard Pirates.

Cheap bait thread.
Vasco is ass.
His portrayal is terrible.

It‘s obviously gonna be Laffite.
Sanji‘s opponents always stand out in terms of portrayal and Laffite has that.

Was the only one who dodged ace‘s attack.
Always does behind the scenes missions.
Went to the Shichibukai meeting in MJ.
Threatened to kill Pizzaro if he keeps talking shit.
Shiryu and him talking down Burges.
And is now doing some shit at the Port of MJ - last seen.

I think matchups will be based on roles and Oda gives each Blackbeard Pirate similarities to more than one Straw Hat. Blackbeard himself has similarities to Robin as both specialize in archaeology.

There's also this pattern.
  • Titan 1 = New World Recruit
  • Titans 2–5 = East Blue Recruit
  • Titans 6–9 = Paradise Recruit
  • Titan 10 = Too special to go to anyone (probably fights Coby)
The first four members were Luffy's first five (excluding himself) with Zoro and Sanji swapped for Jimbei.
