Controversial Is Kaido refusal to put Big Mom in his top 5 pure MISOGYNY?

Is it?

I think the difference here is even as he was fighting her I don't think he ever felt like he was losing or going to lose. With Oden (and likely the rest of the others) Kaido must have felt some existential dread.
But you are right, Big Mom often doesn't get her flowers. She's a legit monster.

Inironically yes. It's a big hidden part of his character. Probably the main reason he hated Yamato too. He would've preferred a boy/man.
He didn't hate Yamato. Yamato hated him.
He wanted her to rule over Wano despite that. And he went along with the "he/him" role she played.

When they fought, he could have killed her and held back.
She sure wasn't what he wanted her to be (same as Garp with Luffy and Ace for example) but he didn't hate her.

I hate Oden just as much as the next guy but who in their right mind thinks BM is stronger than WB, Xebec, Shanks and Roger?

Yet Kaido put Oden with these dudes.

Oden is just that strong even though he's a badly written character.

Big Mom does not aesthetically suit the panel. It's an awkward situation for BM to be in there since all of those pirates are dead, except Shanks who is Luffy's idol. BM was right beside Kaidou already.
All of this, but I think the bolded is the most important. She's not "cool". lol

But also, we keep seeing indicators that she's a big sister figure to Kaido. Someone that invested in his growth and took care of him. At least to the extent that a relationship like that can occur between savate pirates and adding in the usual external anime machoness that contradicts the soft fuzzy feelings the characters actually feel on the inside but are too proud/embarrased to display. She did give him his fruit, after all.

I'm not getting the vibe that Kaido had as much of a personal connection to Rocks or WB. He probably feels more affection and gratitude towards BM in particular than just respect or a competitive attitude. It's a unique relationship among the set.

Also, BM's strength is probably interchangeable with Kaido at best. The people Kaido imagined is probably the top 5 he encountered that he strikingly perceives to be greater than him. With Oden, it's probably that he thought Oden surpassed him before his death, not that Oden is necessarily stronger than Kaido right now. But he puts weight on the fact that Oden did surpass him and that his potential was probably higher.

Kaido fought Big Mom for days and it was pretty even . He even panicked as shit when Big Mom showed up in Wano.

Yet this same BUM refuse to put her in his top 5, even though She can clearly fight hm head on.

Why is Kaido so biased towards Mama's capabilities?

@Intellectuals
Big mom never had kaido down for the count like oden did

All those in his top 5 are better superior to big mom

What Kaido says:

"There are only a scant few capable of fighting me!!!"

What Oda drew 50+ chapters ago:

She is objectively and unquestionably proven to qualify for the exact same claim.

What "powerscalers" with zero reading comprehension mindlessly declare:
"Kaido's Top 5"

Big Mom isn't there because it wouldn't make much sense for him to imagine her within that metric when she's already standing next to him as his co-equal partner. Oda just overestimated the ability for powerscaling-centric readers to understand basic information and reasoning.

Kaido and BM were using 20% of their strength in combat. Base luffy pushed Kaido more than BM and law and kidd's attacks did more to BM than Kaido.

Kaido vs BM fight doesn't mean much really. When we see them going all out , Kaido looked far superior. Flame bagua vs Misery = Hydrogen bomb vs Coughing baby for example.
