Oda will probably give Drake some way to keep up with Koby in the final war, as the latter develops his haki and inevitably becomes a haki master like Garp.

Drake has a dragon theme. In addition to his name, he has a model of the dragon dragon fruit. This sets him up to eventually become the Dragon admiral. He just needs some sort of top tier power to do it.

imo the seiryu fruit fed to his sword would be just such a power. It would perfectly fit his theme.

Overall, sword is guaranteed to be a major faction in the final war. If Koby is going to be a key player, he’s going to need some powerful nakama to back him up. So I think a Drake power up is highly likely.

To be fair, Drake is the captain of SWORD, so Koby and Grus are his direct subordinates. He's also a member of the Worst Generation. Koby clearly has a higher ceiling, but Drake probably has more potential than people think.

Yup and Koby is a main player in the final saga



So Drake is one of the few supernova we are practically assured will be relevant. He’ll be the 2nd or 3rd strongest member of Sword. After Koby and maybe Grus. Basically Koby’s equivalent to Zoro/Sanji.

He will definitely get stronger, if only so Koby can keep up with other factions
