Theres more Sanji in Gaban than Nami but yea they do sort of share that parallel being Navigators. Honestly She was in the story a whole 35 chapters before Sanji is even introduced, 60 chapters before Sanji even joins the crew. Nami's Fan base is pretty Deep, it's the least Oda could do for long time fans of Nami.
