Garp got credited because they don’t want to credit Roger, simple. Started out as a group fight, because we know that Kaido gets destroyed in the midst. Roger and Xebec will turn into a 1v1, Garp and WB could have left them alone. All of Xebec’s top dogs heavily respect Roger, remember that. That would only make sense if they saw Roger beat Xebec in a fair fight.
