Claymore = most underrated anime/manga

I read the Claymore manga in it's entirety. I tried the anime and stopped after one episode.

The Claymore manga is strange for me because I remember reading it, I remember enjoying it, I remember coming out of it relatively satisfied with how the story went and I remember enjoying the characters but for the life of me, I can barely remember the names of the cast.

I think one of the main problems I have with trying to remember the cast is that they pretty much all look the same. The mangaka is talented at designing and drawing the monsters but the designs for the human cast are just... Lacking.

Nearly all of the female characters in the Claymore Organization have the same hair colour, the same skin tone, the same outfit, the same weapon, the same armour, the same body type and they all have similar faces.

I know there is a lore reason for the same skin tone and hair colour amongst the Claymores but it still compounds the fact that most of these characters look the same. Lol.

Its a shame they didnt finish the series. The story and most of the characters are amazing.

You mean anime? Anime ending was kind of shit. The manga is "finished" although I think we could have a lot more of it.

It is a pretty good manga and we could have an anime from the beginning till the very end of it.

Not killing your bane of existence for whatever reason was just insane garbage written.I know its an OG ending with an open ending but it dont change my stand about the anime

Iirc the manga was monthly so they had to wrap up the story pretty quickly and they messed up the last episodes.

Lot of Animes are like that.Soul Eater,the first FMA anime,Akame Ga Kill etc etc.They were made while the Manga was half done.

Cancel?It was,like for almost every Anime,promotion for the main source.

The anime never showed Alicia, she was manga only.

Alicia and Beth weren’t poorly written, they were shallow as all hell sure but they weren’t terribly written lol.

But god, they had the worst deaths in any manga I’ve ever seen.

I honestly can't even properly remember how they died. I remember that they died against the main antagonist but that's about it. Nothing noteworthy. They existed and then they simply didn't. Lol.

Maria, Clare, Teresa, Ophelia and Cassandra. That is what I can recall without a memory boost. Lol.

That’s basically it. Lol

They were completely easily and shamefully dispatched by the main villain of the manga, who didn’t even realize that Alicia and Beth were supposed to be special.

In fairness Alicia and Beth got a ton of insane hype before they died, Alicia in particular was said to be the strongest Claymore in history before the EOS and 6 motherfuckers spawned who were either stronger than her outright or at least implied to be. And Beth was Alicia’s twin and basically her equal.

It was also highly implied that Alicia and Beth were basically going to easily kill Riful had their fight continued, so that was nice. But the way Priscilla just easily slaughtered both of them without even awakening or realizing that they were supposed to be special claymores was the most abominable shit I’ve read in manga.

Yes. He was also a number one Claymore before he awakened. The only male #1 in history iirc.
