The Fate of Rakuakan

Oh hell no, there is a 0% chance that Rakuakan is dead. Hara not showing us Rakuakan’s “death” is a telltale sign that the guy is alive, and I definitely think Rakuakan is going to return in the future.

I am officially adding Rakuakan to my list of Kingdom generals who are going to rebel against the evil Ei Sei in the end, alongside Shibashou and a potential evil Ousen if Hara is peak enough.

So that puts us at 3 returning generals for the EOS rebellions against Ei Sei.

Anyway, what do you all think? Is Rakuakan actually dead?

Yes I think he's dead. And seeing how Hara has started to write shorter arcs to finish the story faster, I doubt we will have some plots that he probably wanted to explore at some point in the past.
I don't think Ei Sei will turn evil in the manga

Can’t find it from a quick search. Hara has said in an interview somewhere that he is worried about how readers will react when Sei goes insane.

I'm not sure he can go through all that happened in real history in those 5 years.

Ei Sei going evil makes sense , either you die a hero or long yourself to become a villain .

He has too massacre so many innocents etc.

Rakuakan’s departing words feels too conclusive for him to just suddenly come back as a new Qin recruits. Yoko Yoko being entrusted with the duty to guide the remaining Han soldiers in the aftermath of their conquest. Though I guess Hara could decide to bring him back regardless.

Nah he won’t be a Qin recruit. I can definitely see him returning as an enemy of Qin tho.
