It seems to me that Roger was trying to play wingman for Rayleigh this chapter:

Like he wanted to make sure Shakky was into Rayleigh and it seems like he clearly wanted Rayleigh to be here after he saw her reaction to Rayleigh duking her. I think if Roger keeps making advances towards Shakky after this chapter then that will be bad, but it seemed to me here like he wanted to help his bro out.​
