The country with the highest homicide rate in the world is Brazil. We have had tight gun control for decades. It is very easy to buy rifles in the black market. Citizens can't even own a 9mm pistol for self-defense now. We are restricted to .380 ACP, .38 TPC, 38 SPL, and 12 GA for self-defense. Meanwhile, gang members flaunt automatic rifles, grenades, and all kinds of explosives. Murdering down has pretty much no consequences. Gun control is a silly myth. Homicide rates aren't correlated with more or fewer guns, but they are a measure of how sick and corrupt a society is.
You guys don't have a gun problem. Guns don't do shit by themselves. You guys have a problem with mental illness, political radicalization, and gang violence.

Lots of guns in Uruguay. Compare crime in Uruguay to Brazil? Obviously, America also has a problem with enforcing its law. That guy that killed the Ukrainian lady should have been locked in a mental institution or jail ages ago. If lots of car accidents happen, the proper way to describe the problem is road rage, alcoholism and imprudence. Not "we have car problem".

Something I feel is getting lost in this whole thing - despite the massive oversight of not placing metal detectors around a far-right event in a red state, he had hired additional security…he knew he’d be attacked for the horrible things he says and does, that’s very telling to me. If he was that scared of retaliation, he shouldn’t have put himself in the cross hairs by attacking so many communities he didn’t like
