What if shanks mother was member of the Davy clan, and the reason Oda is hiding her face is because she resembles Blackbeard’s mother.

Would Shanks full name being Shanks D. Davy really surprise anyone at this point?

However, we have never seen a hybrid of Cd and D. It is possible that Shanks is also D, but it seems unlikely, but it is possible that Shanks' mother came from a prominent family.

She being disposed without showing her face seems to tell us she wasn't important to the flash back, but it could be someone important because Shanks inherited red hair from her, and people don't call his name directly but adding his unique red hair before his name.

Edit: not in the flash back, but red hair could be something unique in the story.

Now we know that characters can have secret names, nothing is off the table. Shanks may be a Davy, or he could be another D tribe member. Oda will probably reveal it when he’s out of ideas and needs to create some sort of artificial excitement in the fan base.

One is keeping the balance for the day when Joyboy will overthrow the WG tyranny and restore world peace, while the other wants to tear down the WG and replace it with a worldwide anarchy where only the strong survive, while all the weak and innocent perish?

I'm curious why Shanks fear Teach so much as if the hybrid of Davy and Figarland isn't on par or even stronger than a Davy.

Well she was stabbed by Garling. So maybe he made a request for her not to be included among the other Davies so he could kill her himself. Perhaps because even though he has no love for her, he probably didn't want any of the other Celestials winning his 'property'.

I dont think its fear Teach is hiding in plain sight , he was acting weak but actually was really strong on par with Shanks .
