2nd is a scrub that never got any hype heading into his revival in the war arc. He was written as someone who got bodied in a tag team with the Raikage against the Kinkaku/Ginkaku brothers and then died to 20 of their underlings at a later date (yes they weren't even included). He's literally a kinkaku victim.

But then he started arguably mogging even the 4th. It's clear Kishimoto was making stuff up as he goes, he deviated from the original heirarchy all the time. I don't even need to get into the 3rd's fraud god of shinobi title, which got retconned to be Hashirama's.

Kishi retconned that. Tobirama mid diffed Izuna and aura diffed Sasuke

Kishi never had much respect for Kisame at any point of the series. All his exchanges he was a punching bag who got clowned or demeaned in some way. Doesn't mean he's not strong, but yea nothing really got retconned.

2nd's story didn't get retconned either btw. He canonically still lost to Kinkaku/Ginkaku with the Raikage by his side. It just makes Naruto an incoherent mess of a series. He wanted 2nd to flex so he did, he realized an OG Senju being that weak was retarded, but you can't just go back on a canon loss and then a canon death.

Bee never used BM mode against kisame. The moment Sasuke used MS powers he beat bee.

Bee had matchup advantage against Sasuke being lightning user himself plus Sasuke was not using MS abilities till the end. Sasuke also didn't had his hebi cursed mark powers any more.

On other hand kisame's jutsu is tailored made to handle bijuus. Had bee used BM , kisame would have been a toast.
