I miss the Iwata and Reggie times.

Don't get me wrong, Nintendo still has great and skilled developers/directors but all the executives at the top of this company are rotten to the core.

I definitely ain't paying 100€ for the stupid Virtual Boy which was a massive flop back then as well.
I really like Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 upgrades on the Switch 2 but I definitely ain't paying 70€ for two Wii games with higher resolution. They didn't even include better textures.

That's why Monolift Soft games are peak. Even their remasters feel like new games when you play them and they are actually worth their price. DLC content? Oh boy, that's basically a new game - look at XBC2 Torna DLC or XBC3 Future Redeemed. XBC Definite Edition and XBCX Definite Edition got free extensions of their story as well and those 2 games are great remasters.

I remember back when I only had to pay $50 for a game not $70.:catcry:

Good news for Mario Galaxy is that you can also buy them separately, I already have the first Mario Galaxy because of 3D All Stars, so I don't need to pay $70 for the bundle.

I'm personally going to buy Mario Galaxy 2 because I've been dying to replay that game for a long time, for me it will be worth the $40 to play that game again lol.

Also agreed with what you said about the people at the top of Nintendo, I love Nintendo and their games but sometimes they do stuff that I don't agree with.

Kizaruber Eats

Sulong Bepo was far too peak.
Oops I forgot to reply sorry lol. I've been seeing this video come up a lot, even seeing it crop up on reddit, its blown up so much lol. I watched it too.

It's so depressing to see what Nintendo has become. They were my biggest heroes as a child in some ways, they provided me hundreds of hours of escapism and joy, wonder, fun and thrills, worlds beyond my imagination and the most insanely creative mechanics and adorable characters and fantastical, emotional music and so on. They were like Willy Wonka and Disney of gaming, but now so in the worst ways too ironically.

Nintendo have always been strictly anti-consumer and thus "hate their fanbase" and some of their own IPs but what they're doing right now is like some deliberate self sabotage, power (glove) tripping and severely unfunny parodying of themselves.

They still make amazing games from time to time, but my god, some of the decisions they have made and still make begs belief and reminds us they are not just a corporation but a mega one (ironically I said that with mega pokemon lmao) and thus "not our friends" nor "family" too, despite their whole extremely carefully manufactured and thus strictly protected "family image" and their actual cult of Nintendo fans who think they are deities/gods amongst us but also underrated, misunderstood and need "protection from their fans from the haters".

I really feel Nintendo peaked with the Gamecube to Wii eras and that includes their games too. It's been mostly downhill since after the Wii U. They can still put out amazing games and somehow manage to enable much better movies to be made on their IPs too finally. (Although I am very wary of how the Zelda one is gonna turn out as its live action and probably be based on BOTW/TOTK era and style especially, ERGH.)

I do love the Switch to some degree and I really loved the Wii U. The portability of the Switch has made things so much more easier and actually plausible for me in my living circumstances, so I am extremely grateful to it for that too. But Nintendo's IRL Wario-like greed and downfall with some of their games (Mario Tennis Aces I IMMEDIATELY HATED and regretted buying for example too) and their decisions with the Switch 2, the patents, the Virtual Boy nonsense and so on, only a company run by "Bowser" (in the USA branch ofc) can do such unhinged shit like this too. Nintendo really lost its soul when both Iwata died and Reggie left, the latter even said he doesn't recognise Nintendo anymore and that speaks VOLUMES given what the guy is like and how much he was beloved by Nintendo fans and the internet/world and thus how much he loved working with and being part of Nintendo too.
