Yeah that's what happened. Goku was meant to be evil, to embrace his Saiyan conquering and bloodthirsty, violent instincts but him being dropped on his head changed him and made him "innocent/pure".

At least as far as I remember lol.

Yeah that sounds more plausible, maybe Dragon accidentally drops Shamrock or has no choice as he's fleeing Garling or someone else and Shamrock falls from his arms and gets left behind?

Someone said we should see big mom going mothering mode here over the twin babies and given she's meant to be pregnant again, she should be more broody/hormonal/maternal etc and thus even more on mothering mode?
Of course, this theory may be true. However, Dragon Ball is a role model for Oda and he may want to reference the story of his friend and master. It is considered a kind of tribute.

Larp the retarded CD bootlicker stopping a family man form saving his wife and son

fuck that clown. i hope bb kills him
This is why justice and law are two different things. Garp is not even a completely law-abiding person, nor does he even seek justice. Garp and Roger's characters were destroyed in this flashback. Fisher Tiger, for example, was not a law-abiding person, but he was a person who administered justice and freed slaves. It is unlikely that Oda would want to delve into such a deep subject. Roger's character is even more disappointing than Garp's:josad:

Oda stop blueballing us on Perona.
o being nice is retard version of Celestial dragon?
Ironically saying retard and Celestial Dragon together is redundant but I suppose Rocinante and Doflamingo are the exceptions too ofc lol.

Odas gonna glaze Shanks in regards to this, prepare for the worst.

Assuming its Shanks bumping his head and "turning good" as we theorise, would he grow up to betray and kill Roger "in revenge" like Blackbeard did to Whitebeard? To turn out evil anyway? And thus Shamrock is just Shanks if he didn't bump his head and Shanks was destined to be evil, most likely due to his genetics and lineage ofc?
Gotta say I really don't like that.

But then again with the way Oda has been portraying Shanks, maybe it does fit?

Shanks is way more savage towards other pirates than the WG and Marines. With them he's more like a stern father putting his foot down instead only. It's hilariously fucked up, hypocritical and ironic. Especially as he should know everything the WG has done and does do, as a Celestial Dragon himself and going to Mary Geoise at some point as either a teenager or adult, I'm sure some time after Roger died ofc?

Fuck man, I miss the Shanks from the start of One Piece. I do wonder if he would be like this now in Oda's original 5 year plan for the story.

I wish we could get a 5 year long reboot of One Piece with Oda's original vision for it instead. At least out of curiosity and closure if nothing else.

I remember Oda planned Garp to be a pirate originally too ironically LMAO.

Yeah that makes sense, in that regard it is a sweet nod, a tribute as you said. It's a real shame Akira Toriyama isn't around to see this directly, both he and Yugioh's authors doed as absolute legends and heroes in their own ways and far too soon too.

On that note too, I wonder if Kaido's DF was inspired by Snakeway in DBZ too? The afterlife and snakeway are some of my favourite aspects of the Dragon Ball franchise, but I've always been fond of how Asian cultures as well as Mexico treat death and thus afterlife, heaven, spirituality etc in that regard. The Celestial Realms, seeing the dead again, even returning to Earth etc.
Jade Empire the game was a wonderful demonstration of this and also movies like Coco and The Book of Life.

God (Pun not intended) I love fanart of Kaido and Big Mom like this:

I can't believe this is the same Garp as pre TS. I guess he changed a lot later on in life, same with Roger. But they don't feel like Roger and Garp to me at all. Both were extremely compelling figures pre TS but now....ergh....I just feel sick. Roger's obsession with kidnapping Shakky and thus other women I think too is a breaking point for me.
