⚠️Major Phobia / Trigger-Relevant Things People Are Reporting
These are things people have specifically mentioned could affect those sensitive to certain visuals or horror triggers:
Trypophobia (fear/disgust of clusters of holes or bumps)
Many reviews / players say that there are visuals that trigger strong trypophobic reactions: clusters of holes in skin, holes with flowers or other things growing out, etc. Reddit+2Gamepressure.com+2
GamePressure’s review says there were times when they felt physically sick to their stomach and had to take breaks — “I truly believe it gave me trypophobia.” Gamepressure.com
Game8 mentions “flowers” consuming parts of the body, which “left me itching just writing this down.” Game8
Gore / Body Horror

Creatures and “body-horror abominations” replacing people in the town. Bloody Disgusting!+1
Critics agree the game is a fun, flashy kart racer that focuses on speed, chaos, and accessibility rather than deep simulation.
The CrossWorlds mechanic, which warps players into alternate track sections mid-race, is widely praised for keeping races dynamic and unpredictable.
Core racing feels tight and satisfying, with good drifting, boosting, and tricks that reward skillful play.
The game’s visuals are bold and colorful, though some reviewers found the on-screen effects and busy track designs overwhelming at times.
Performance is solid on modern platforms, maintaining smooth framerates despite the heavy effects and action.
A wide range of customization options for vehicles, parts, and gadgets adds depth and replay value.
The roster of Sonic and crossover characters is seen as a strong plus, appealing to long-time fans.
Some critics note imbalances with items and chaotic gameplay, which can make races feel unfair or overly random.
Single-player offerings are considered lightweight, with a straightforward event/race structure and limited auxiliary modes.
Overall, reviewers say it’s not a Mario Kart killer, but a vibrant, enjoyable alternative for those who want a high-energy, arcade-style racer with Sonic flair.
Funnily enough I think the Sega Sonic Racing games are WAY better than Mario Kart, immensely better by Miles (pun intended). Same with Sonic Riders, the hoverboard racing games. And Sega Tennis Superstars > Mario Tennis too. Not tried Team Sonic Racing though.

Welp Crossworlds is Overwhelmingly Positive on Steam already!:
The OP world is so ripe with good side-stories for the lesser SHs each arc, that it's only because of Oda's incompetence or his not caring about them that he do anything with them.
