It might represent the yearning for a reconciliation with her mother, she still thinks it was her fault that she died which is probably true, Asa would like to be in peace with it, but she feels that she doesn't deserve to move on. Yoru took control over Asa's body not just because she remembers nuclear weapons but also because Asa's mind and soul is easy to exploit from a devil perspective, I expect Denji to help Asa recover control over her body, that would be the most common trope... But this is CSM so I wouldn't bet on it
