Mr. Reloaded

🎶 Do what you want cause a pirate is free 🎶
You're excused though, you had different goals

Y'all trolled so hard that you placed a hex on the entirety of town, taking me down with it.
I didn' even have you on my radar, so I can only bow down in awe before you

Town botched the game so bad, I got away with never claiming and Yoho got away with the probably the worst claim ever :risisweat:

Never seen anything like it.

The only surprise on the scum team for me is Michelle and Yoho. I knew the others were scum by day 2 for sure. Maybe mafia aint for me no more too much of a headache too convince people of obvious scummy players. I can't believe no one flipped Hayumi after I died lmao. Good stuff Fugi, well played scum. I kept hinting Reloaded is scum as well but typical town.

The End and the Beginning
Alright I read the chat.

Firstly, and I need to get this out of my system, I am disappointed, but not exactly surprised, to see several members of the scum team lied, or at minimum very deliberately misrepresented, the nature of the complaints. I'm addressing this part directly to @Yoho and to @Dr_Professor83. I would LOVE to be able to trust people. To be able to ask and get a fair and accurate assessment from people who know and be able to take that as trustworthy. But as this game proves, I can't do that, I have to spend hours of my weekend reading over 100 pages of scum chat drivel to verify for myself.

If I were to accept what I was told at face value, I would have had the impression that there complaints were just questions or tame reactions. What I read in fact were several instances where the host would be accused of trolling, or town siding, and even at one point, that the whole set up was designed to make fun of the people who rolled Mafia. The host was accused of several forms of impropriety and with the sole exception of Hayumi (thank you Hayumi), these things went largely unchallenged. I'm particularly disappointed with Prof because I felt like we had enough of a rapport where I could ask a question and I could expect an honest answer regardless of whether it was to the benefit of his particular team or not.

For future reference, I am checking, so if you ever want me to consider your opinion on these sorts of things, then you need to ensure that I can find it trustworthy.

There will be no strikes for Ekko *this time*. But this really is unacceptable. Fuji summed it up nicely when he said to Ekko that he felt he just liked to hear himself (Ekko) complain. And I can accept some mild complaints around that. But Ekko goes further. He implies or outright suggests that the host is working against his team or trying to rig their game to manufacture an outcome, and this just isn't acceptable. And it's by no means the first time he has done this. I want to allow some wiggle room on this because in the heat of the moment, when things are stressful, people can say things they don't mean and I don't want to punish that, it's excessive. But I also have to balance that with hosts feeling like they're welcome to host without fear of heavy backlash. And in low stress situations like this one, it just isn't acceptable.

I can't define this as an outright rule but I'm going to be looking at it in later games and there won't be any grace period or first warning or anything like that if I feel the complaint goes beyond what's within reason for the situation. And for the next time, if I ask what the situation was and you either can't answer with honesty or you don't want to because you feel obliged to backing your team up, just do us both a favour and don't bother answering at all. Because if I can't trust your opinion I will be paying it absolutely no attention anyway.

This has to be fixed. We've almost got our main host retiring over it and I've had just about enough.

I don’t think they lied intentionally they probably just forgot, it is almost 100 pages after all. I also forgot about some parts ngl. I do wish people didn’t do that stuff though, its kinda demoralizing.

You should have listened to me when I told y'all that this was 100% a kekko move to frame a lynch redirect on me

The desperado only worked on players which appeared as town, the GF does appear as town.

And y'all conveniently forgot that Red Night literally claimed that Ekko was immune to cult.

I mean..I'm not gonna bitch too much about it.. but..
You had everything you needed to catch him, just nobody gave a fuck lol
i dont know what happened but i always believed in you Mango:perocry:

To be fair, I tried to argue in support of a lot of the people you were hesitant of when I had a clarity moment the next day phase. I pressed the York neighborhood chat saying that not all of them could be town, but I got yeeted right after you for my troubles rofl

No, they don't. Well, rather, they don't have a right to imply impropriety on the hosts behalf as part of their complaints. That is not acceptable and is not welcome here.

So you believe even if the complaints are sometimes ridiculous people shouldn't complain from what I remember Ekko didn't result to name calling or purposely trying to belittle Fushi and his game he just had a few complaints that Hayumi and Fushi immediately nipped in the bud and then moved on, you're making a show out of absolutely nothing. Now if @Fujishiro felt slighted or offended by Ekkos complaints that's a bit different and @EkkoLoJinx can apologize if he sees fit but as imo there was nothing major like name calling or nasty comments

I think I've outlined what I believe. The sort of complaints that happened here are not acceptable and will not be accepted going forward. Your opinion on that is irrelevant here, those are the rules.

I didn’t lie. I don’t remember it being that bad even though I remember a few of the things Ekko said like that and the tone to me never felt that serious. More like empty yapping and I never felt like it was getting to the point of Fuji being that upset. Many times after Ekko would say something like that, he’d follow it with something of the lines of “I know, etc etc” which indicated it was mostly a bit of less serious venting.

It felt nothing like, for example, how you, Ekko, & SoulKiller were in Weebs (although part of that could be bc I was hosting too that game but I never got the sense Fuji was taking it anywhere close to that this game).

I’m generally pretty understanding of people and I get those kind of reactions. That was literally .0000001 of some of the stuff I saw in Weebs in my mind and that’s my bar for what actually brutal host complaints feel like. Also as the game went Ekko was a lot more chill and jokey about things when he was complaining (even the stuff with his post he sent to Mango earlier on was very jokey so it felt like he was never really mad).

You can say you don’t trust my opinion because I’m too soft and you think I give the benefit of the doubt but I feel like saying you think I’m lying is a pretty big slap in my face of who you should know me to be. You think I would lie when I fully expected you to read the chat yourself at some point?

I have no idea what you thought. I asked, I know the answer I received, and I know what I read did not line up with that answer. Everything beyond that is an interpretation. If you say it wasn't deliberate, fine, but it is what it is.

Well no, because those two things are very different even if the end result is “I don’t trust you opinion on stuff of this particular nature.”

One is a perception flaw because of some sort of empathy & the other is being a malicious piece of shit liar.

My thinking is if you didn't remember/didn't know you simply wouldn't say anything. But you did anyway which is why I said it's either lying to downplay it, or misrepresenting it to downplay it. I accept it when you tell me you had the best of intentions but it doesn't change anything for me. I think it's not unreasonable to feel like you might have been trying to brush it away because you don't want it to become a bigger issue and colour this game. I'm saying I expect complete objectivity in these situations.

That's fine, I can live with you thinking the rule is dumb. If that means hosts have a better time hosting here it's worth it for me. The bottom line is that the host experience is not good enough right now. Not even close to being good enough. And I am by no means innocent on this myself, though I think I've been much better in the last year or two. I'm holding everyone to the same standard. I will give leniency on it where I can, but it's going to change, it has been normalised for too long in my view.
