Because the Roger pirates again, haven’t been talked about much in over two decades while the WB pirates were incredibly active up until very recently.

Why are you just ignoring the fact that the Roger pirates just aren’t commonly spoken about by humans

If Sakazuki knew about Oden's voyage with Roger or if he deemed it relevant, he would have brought it up considering it was his last journey as a pirate. Instead, he identified him immediately and specifically as a WB crew member showing that either he himself didn't know that Oden joined Roger for that year or that, from the marines' perspective, his relevance as a WB pirate far surpass that episode.

If a marine officer associates him with WB first, it goes without saying that the few people who know about him, heard of his deeds as a a member of that crew specifically.

the strongest characters also all have strong DFs. The admirals are all quite literally DF merchants. Imu has a Df, Xebec was chasing a DF, Luffy became the most dangerous foe not after awakening adCoC but instead when he awakened the nika form

how may times must oda hammer that DFs are as important?

And notice most DF merchants like the Admirals are below characters like Shanks, Garp, Roger, Mihawk etc. who only have Haki and weapons.
At the end of the day, DFs may be important, but it's clear which power Oda values more in general.
Only special fruits like the Yami will be highlighted more than Haki.

Most of the marines he was talking to weren’t active during Roger’s era. Why would they care about that more than oden being part of the crew that the entire marine army fought just two years ago???

Also Sengoku immediately goes against your argument since as the highrst ranked marine during Roger’s era actually attributed oden as a Roger Pirate primarily.
