In recent chapter, Imu was called as the Rat King

For someone to be a rat king, that must mean there are the common rats. Who are they? Well, Oda has been dropping some foreshadowing for my hero here

My theory is that Imu will use Domi Reverse on Sanji and turning him into a human rat, giving him a power similar to Mouseman Gifter

Domi Reverse Sanji will manifest the foreshadowing him turning evil. There will be emotional moment where Sanji asks Zoro to put him out of this misery (this will be the moment when zoro fans turn to be sanji fans like oda's leaked draft).

To be honest I thought the rat king was a reference to the chinese zodiac, the rat comes out first on top. That's why you have all the other animals hanging around in the story.

That's not entirely a bad take. Given Admirals are based on Chinese zodiac and they are under WG only.
