General & Others Oda’s fight choreography in 1164 is atrocious

Honestly, the whole choreography of how that played out was absurdly sloppy.

Kaido's still a massive dragon, but once he gets slapped into a cliffside, we get no visual exposition of where his body is.

Big Mom gets kneed into a completely indeterminant cliffside, and once again, we're given no visual exposition of where she actually ended up.

Whitebeard gets attacked in such a way that that peak is blasted through at its base, causing it to topple, but we still get no visual exposition of whether it was his body that got launched or Xebec's attack just continues on past him and he falls over, or what.

Then, worst of all, Xebec does a whole runaround of a large part of the island to get Eris and Teach before getting lured back by Roger and Garp's CoC burst, telling us that they just stayed in the same spot that whole time and had no reaction to anything Rocks did beforehand? Or Imu's presence?

I mean, all six of them were literally standing (Kaido flying, obviously) in essentially the same spot, but we don't see those two even once during Xebec's initial rampage or have any explanation for why they sat on their hands while he ran off.

And ultimately, it just makes the visualization of the space and positioning of these characters incredibly difficult to properly comprehend.

Ode had the general idea : Rocks turning into a demon, beating his crewmates, attacking Eris / Teach and then fighting Roger / Garp in the end

but he couldn’t care less about the details and how to give real life and meat to that general idea

Even Shiki vs Ganzui was lazy as fuck, we barely understand / see Ganzui state

Overall GV has been that since its beginning : okay ideas but fucking execution

The attacks look fine to me.

Why would Roger/Garp get involved when Xebec is attacking Kaido, Big Mom and Whitebeard? Why would they care about that? Only when Xebec goes on a rampage killing everyone on the island and threatening Roger's crew and the Marines do Roger and Garp confront him.

I think whole point Rocks being bad guy but at some point Oda sort of changed his mind , he decided to bring in Imu in God Valley .

Its just clusterfuck at this point . I highly recommend you should stop caring Oda gave up on logics long ago he decided to go full Naruto mode . I had the same co.plain back when I was reading Naruto but experience taught me just give up on logics and enjoy reading .
