It doesn't even make sense. It doesn't seem there is any new level of haki. How is WB not above roger/garp given he has DF on top of having haki comparable to both?

oda doesn't seem to wanna put in the time and effort to give proper justice to gv
what a shame

And since the final war will inevitably have a cast size way way bigger than that of gv, this does not bode well for the end of op

Oda clearly isn’t keen on drawing detailed choreography, but this flashback has been phenomenal. Easily some of the best One Piece content we’ve had in years, right up there with the pre-timeskip classics.

I mean, do you really though an event with Imu, Xebec, Roger, Garp, Whitebeard, Garling, Kaido, Big Mom, Shiki etc wouldn't be powercrap? Lol

People were using haki, hardening wasn’t a thing in Oda’s mind back then

MF > GV. Both have the clash issues but the story is a lot more fun when people have different fighting styles and not the same hit harder bs

Its just means his haki wasmt comparable lol. Hence why the fruit was able to compensate for the difference

To be fair and disrespectful to oda, it's because of the fact that if we got proper fights for everyone in GV this flashback would be even longer. Which in itself is a bad thing because ODA WASTED SO MUCH DAMN TIME ON FRIVOLOUS THINGS WITHIN THIS STORY THAT DID NOT NEED TO HAPPEN. WANO WAS UNECCESARILY LONG. THE COVER STORIES NOT BEING ALL STORY BASED IS TRAGGIC. SOME OF THE COVER STORIES BEING A WASTE OF TIME IS TRAGIC.
