Bumden's opponent was Rookie Crydo and fecking Orochi, who Bumden alongside his scabbards had fairly high chance to clap since day 1

Imagine being part of Roger's crew, and then when you return home, you start twerking for someone like Kaido.
His plan was "maybe Kaido will leave" ?????
In all these years he wasnt even able to deal with Orochi.

This about sums it up. Harald was simply naive to the true nature of the Gorosei. Oden’s brain doesn’t work properly.
Being naive is not the same as being stupid. Being naive simply means you lack information. Being stupid means your brain has all the information it needs and you still make the wrong decisions anyway.
For example, being a Kaido fan prior to Wano is naïveté, we really didn’t have any way of knowing how disastrously bad Oda would fuck up that character.
Being a Kaido fan after Wano is pure retardation, because we now saw how utterly disastrous Oda’s handling of that character was and your defective brain still makes the wrong decision to stan the character anyway.
Know the difference.

Oden just travelled for 5 years of his time and was under Grand pirates with Honour like Roger and Whitebeard..He didn't realise how scum some pirates can be ..He shook hands with Kaidou to keep every single Wanonian alive for 5 years even if it meant they would struggle heavily in those years (slavery) and then they would be free forever. At least he thought this way none would die unlike with a full on head to head battle.
Harald saw the world ,His best friend warned him multiple times about what WG intends to do to his nation,he himself has seen the atrocities of the WG. He travelled the world and made connections for like a half century. In the end he completely changed the nature of his people and gave in to the WG ,all because of the IDA pussy and because he didn't have the balls to say no to some elders of his nation and despised them for it..
The current problems of Elbaf and the current isolation of his Son is all thanks to Harald and his blind love for Ida ..(He hit that estrid pussy though no question asked)
