It says nobody ever tamed Mahoraga before Sukuna, not that nobody beat it. The Zenin oponent (Like Sukuna in the Megumi vs Ponytail fight) could have beaten it which would not give him the benefit of taming it.

As for trapping Maho don't think would do anything good as Yuka would be in a state of suspended death and unable to do anything until the ritual is completed or nullified it mean it would buy her time she couldn't do anything with

Cross and Maru's CT is kinda reality warping. Maybe someone more medically focused has something similar but with rct.

Also others could have defeated Mahoraga all we know is that no user of the 10 shadows was able to beat and tame it except Sukuna ( though if he fought him or not we don't know and it doesn't matter since he defeated him without even being full power (15 fingers ))

I think the designs alone make it obvious that Kishimoto isn’t very involved. Boruto characters look more like Jojo characters than they do Naruto characters. Tbh I’m pretty sure that Kishimoto only introduced the alien Otsusuki stuff at the tail end of Naruto because Shueshia begged and pleaded for him to give them canon material to make a spin off out of
