Is it related to his Haki? He trained himself by using Haki that he doesn't need sleep?

Haki is also = willpower, his willpower become so powerful that it's supersedes his physicality so he doesn't need sleep?

Similar but different version of that could be: what Kuma did when his body was destroyed but he still continued to fight due to his insane willpower.

Or related to something else like special mutant-like bloodline even though that wasn't mentioned for Xebec?

unless you take having multiple souls as something to do with haki

Mihawk might deadass just be possessed. Blackbeard someone who likely has (at least) 2 souls in order to eat 2 fruits has normal eyes. The other personality probably only activating when he’s asleep. Something he doesn’t do much of

When Saturn and Imu lose themselves to Imu they have the same eyes and completely lose themselves

Even longer ago a thread on mihawk and cavendish’s eyes on how they might be possessed by their blades in some way.

What if all 3 are weirdly enough connected to each other?…

We know that Blackbeard’s ship is called the saber of xebec obviously named after his father’s sword. So what if Blackbeard is literally possessed by his father’s blade somehow. How did it happen idk but still its between his mother, xebec himself, or his blade

We know Ace was named after Roger’s sword so Blackbeard being even more connected to his fathers could make sense imo

As for mihawk it likely has to do with his something he faced early on in his career as a pirate. What idk but he deadass might be a sword man if yoru did take over

He learned the Debauchery Haki from Urouge so he doesn’t have to sleep and can 24/7 clap cheex

its nothing to do with haki.
99% its about his bloodline, special trait of davy clan that only triggers one in every xxx years.. just like shirahoshi

we know davy clan is also a buccaneer which is a half giant.
so if kuma clan is half giant half human, then davy clan probably half giant half fishmen
more specific maybe its a mix between ancient giant & an ancient type fishmen/mermaid (like kraken or megalodon or something)
or maybe.. its also possible that davy clan is a 3-race mix between human + giant (or buccaneer) + fishmen

just some random notes:
1) most fish "sleep" or enter restorative rest periods, but it looks different from human sleep: they don't close their eyes (no eyelids for most), have different brain activity, and remain alert to danger.
2) sharks constantly regrow teeth in a conveyor-belt system, replacing lost or worn teeth from multiple rows in their jaws
3) octopuses have unique features like three hearts
4) teach is 344 cm tall (over 3m),
- buccaneers is about 3-7m~ (kuma is 6m~, while other "big humans" like WB, kaido, & bigmom is 6m, 7m, 8m (avg at 7m~)
- normal giant is about 20m-22m~ (3x buccaneers)
- ancient giant is about 60m-67m~ (3x normal giants)

Him not sleeping is the same reason Luffy and Zoro said "it's not he, it is them"
It is also the same reason he can eat multiple devil fruits.

IMO he has multiple souls within his body. Likely 3 - his own soul, Rocks and Davy Jones.

It's from his ancient bloodlines. Other strong haki users are able to sleep normally.

There are types of Haki, for example Big mom's special auto durability comes from her Haki but it's only weakened when she thinks about Carmel.

Or there are future sight Haki users without CoC coating, and there are CoC coating users such as Yamato who can't use future sight.

Or Usopp can use enhanced vision because of Haki, other expert Haki users didn't show this.
