From the beginning because it was clear the story Elbaf told was a lie, I assumed it was kind of to protect him because he was gonna go balls to the wall attacking Mariegeoise. Giants usually from what we know of Dorry and Brogy see death in battle as an honor, Loki hates the guy who beat him but didn't kill him.

The roger pirates talked about being too early, Shanks seemed to be biding his time, we had a whole flashback about how the guy who wasn't ready got neg diffed by Imu.

I actually totally think the red hair pirates helped, and thats not a knock on Shanks. Its been a theme since chapter 1 that relying on friends isn't a weakness, and to be pirate king luffy needs sometimes the help of others to beat someone or their army. Shanks beat Loki probably because he had friends and Loki was an edgelord loner who looked down on people.

Yeah you have a point, I take back, he probably wont even have time to focus on all the current top tiers at this rate let alone if he introduces more + for this consequence we wont see much from high tiers.

Eh, it doesn't really bother me that much.

In a pure 1v1, prime Kaido still destroys Luffy, he needed a TON of help to beat Kaido.

Heck, he couldn't beat Kizaru.

Until Luffy fixes his cool-downs, he just can't 1v1 top tiers without help.

The entirety of the Red Hair Pirates could absolutely solo a God Tier character seeing as how God Tier is a made up term and means whatever we want it to mean, and I have no idea which made up rule book you are looking at that would suggest that there is some minimum level for characters we would refer to as God Tier

I'm hoping Eris is a Mermaid and Teach is an Octopus Fish-Man, and that Sunbell/Barbell are both kicking and hidden Top Tiers. FMI and Wano DEPRESSED ME with how weak the Fish-Men and Samurai were, people complaining about characters in the New World being strong drives me nuts.

The New World powerscaling has ROTTED due to Admiral vs Yonkou nonsense, Shamrock/Loki's existences are SOOOOOO good to shake things up. Also low-key Gunko is strong AF.
