Oda's clunky exposition as always.
Gaban is telling Shanks what he already knows so that we can learn it too, since Oda is too averse to using narrator boxes for little power explanations.
Who is Gaban explaining this to?
Does Shanks not know how to use a coc at 25?
Or does he not know how he was saved from the knights?
This part is weird to me
Maybe Loki

Kizaruber Eats

Loki is burdened with glorious purpose.
"The reason no one could ever eat the Legendary Fruit of Elbaf is because Ragnir protected it. Loki and Ragnir have an extreme fight and Loki barely manages to "defeat" it. Even Harald was only convinced that he could defeat Ragnir after because he got Imu's powers."

Imagine your weapon is soo broken, that is could even defeat most yonkou commanders.

One Piece Chapter 1170: The Opposite

-Loki fights Ragnir. Harald says that no one has ever eaten the legendary Devil Fruit because Ragnir has been guarding it all along.

-Gaban explains how to damage immortals; it's mainly done by coating attacks with Conqueror's Haki, causing pain and slowing their recovery. The attack must be repeated until they are unable to fight. Gaban says he knows how to fight them because the Holy Knights tried to kidnap Shanks several times, but Roger's pirates defeated them every time.

-The fight between Loki and Ragnir continues, but they are both exhausted. Loki's hammer breaks, and Ragnir transforms into a cute squirrel.

-The squirrel accepts Loki and opens the Devil Fruit box, which Loki eats. His hands transform into claws, but only his shadow is visible, his full form not revealed.

-The fight between Loki and Harald continues, while Loki's form remains unclear, just a shadow. Loki, with Ragnir (in his human form), delivers the final blow to Harald, coated with Conqueror's Haki and lightning; shattering Harald into pieces.
this chapter is fucking peak I gotta say. What a banger to end the year with. Harald shattering into pieces is so dark and tragic. Coincidentally that's also how humans and gods die after losing their fights in Record of Ragnarok, HMMMMMM.
