Character Discussion At what age Xebec died ?

I had this discussion with @Rumble and @Dragon777 lately to know or try to guess Xebec age when he died and Xebec age during the flashback

We knew or had this feeling he was older than GV Roger or GV Garp who were 39 and 40

But by how much ?

56 y ago Xebec made his big debut by killing and admiral, trashtalking Imu and massively clashing with Harald

And he died 38y ago at GV

it was indeed said that Xebec Garp and Roger were still growing 40/50y ago and were still « young »

so I don’t think Xebec was 20y older than them it would be weird

So I don’t think he was 55-60 when he died

but Xebec was more accomplished than them, it was his era. And I have a hard time seeing him killing an admiral ar

Also we have Harald and Xebec relationship and parallel

the advantage is we indeed know Harald age

He was 102y / 34y in human years when they first met

And i think both were kinda the same age or around the same age. They were peers

And they kinda met the same end : DR Xebec and HK Harald

We know that Harald died at 144 / 48y old (human years)

And it would somewhat be fitting that they died at tte same age : 48y old

And frankly it kinda fit with Xebec journey :

- 56y ago in MG he was 30y old when he killed the admiral and clash with a 34y old Harald

- in the meantime when building rocks crew and clashing with Roger etc he was late 30s / early 40s

- in GV he was 48 when he died

So I think it fits nicely

Just an estimate really.
He should be older than Roger and Garp but not by a lot.

I have him 10 years older than Roger was. His design never changing from Marijoa to God Valley makes me believe Oda already had him a "fully grown" experienced man when he introduced him instead of a still learning youngster. His rivalry with Harald being much more emphasized than the one with Roger is another good argument as Oda tend to make true rivals around similar same age.

I don't think this is a coincidence. In the upcoming battle, Shanks is exactly 39 years old.
And since Teach is 2 years older than Shanks, my guess is that Rocks is about 41 years old.
However, whether it is right or wrong, this is my guess. I think the relationship between Shanks and Teach, Rocks and Roger is the most complicated relationship in the story.

Xebec's blood is stated to have "burned with youth" at the same time.

That puts him in a reasonable range of anywhere from 37 to 45 years old. I suspect he was the oldest of the three and died at 41~44 years of age.

I also think the age gap quite possibly mimics Shanks and Blackbeard so he could've actually died as young as 40, i.e. same age as Garp at the time.

If you have given Harald's exact age, if we subtract 25 years from that, we arrive at the time when Rox died, and assuming that Rox and Harald are the same age, Rox's exact age at that time would be 39!

Then your whole hypothesis is that Rox and Harald are roughly the same age, so how do you believe that Harald was 48 when he died, and Rox, who is the same age as him, was 48 25 years ago?
Does this mean that you believe Rox is about 25 years older than Harald, or am I wrong?

I have him ~50 at GV.

When they let Harald was 34y / 102

at GV Harald was 120 / 40y old

when he died Harald was 144 / 48y old in human years

I'm saying the exact same thing, if they're about the same age, then Rox would have been about 40 at the time. Well, it's been 25 years since Rox died. If you divide 25 by 3, you get 8. Now, if you subtract that from Harald's age at death, you get 40. I don't know, I'm a little confused. Anyway, my guess is 41.
Also, Harald himself was the same age as Roger and Garp. It's interesting that in the manga it was explicitly stated that Rocks is a rival to Roger and Garp, and people deny it. All the rivals are about the same age.

That's not the only bit of context we have of Rocks though.

The manga does not give us Rocks' exact age but it unambiguously links him to Roger and Garp.

If Roger was 39 at the time, and Garp was 40 at the time, and Harald was 40 in human years at the time, and Rocks is heavily implied to be close in age to 2/3 - what is there left to support speculation he was significantly older than them? I don't think there's anything to support it.
