Powers & Abilities Can you spot the difference b/w Shanks wizard mastery vs Zoro's swordsmanship

Actually, Occam's Razor doesn't mean what you think it does and doesn't apply in the way you think.
- My idea is the idea with the fewest assumptions, and is therefore the simplest one.
- Your idea is the idea with several assumptions to force everything to be the same.

Big difference.
Yes, think again about which is the idea with the fewest assumptions

What is a Haki specialist?
- They come in three types. Conqueror, Armament, and Observation specialists.
- Conqueror Specialists have a high proficiency or potential for Conquerors Haki.
- Armament Specialists have a high proficiency or potential for Armament Haki.
- Observation Specialists have a high proficiency or potential for Observation Haki.

"Adcoc" isn't a real term, the real term is Conqueror Coating, and the characters who use it most often are Conqueror Specialists. It is implied their ceiling for its use is higher than with Armament or Observation Specialists.

The confusion here happens because people oversimplify Conqueror Coating as just abundant haki instead of a specialized type of haki use. In that context, all of them can have high levels of mastery, but they're not all specialized in Conqueror type. World's Greatest Swordsman aligns with World's Strongest Armament Specialist terminology. Why should he have the strongest Conqueror type? He's not even a Conqueror.

IF Mihawk was a true Conqueror, he would be able to do things like 1) nullify Devil fruits 2) use Conqueror Coating on his body 3) knock out people selectively in a crowd, etc., but those are all Conqueror based abilities, so he probably can't do all of that stuff. These guys are only assuming he can do that, and that's a lot of assumptions.

When Oda says that Shanks, Roger, or Xebec are swordsmen ?
Where did you get the statement that Shanks is stronger than Mihawk

provide the manga panel or Oda statement

Where in the manga did Oda say this?

Not even gonna justify him with a response.

So, you see, despite the author himself stating that Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are Haki Specialists with specific types, guys like him will ignore that to maintain his position. Those arguments only kind of worked when we knew very little about haki and it was mysterious, but we have evidence that the power system actually does have reasoning to it. We've just been ignoring it.

Where are the thousands of people defending those arguments anyway? Sleeping? Oh, they don't exist. Oops.

Well, we've discovered the fallacy.
- The Hakiman Vs. Swordsman argument was fallacious from the beginning. Swordsmen are a type of Hakiman among 3 types of them. In the end, it has become Hakiman Vs. Hakiman, and they're hoping an Armament Specialist will beat a Conqueror Specialist. That's really all it is.

Lol... "Saying some people have more of one type of haki than other types is overcomplicating the story and ruins my agenda!"

There are two characters with sword skills:

One of them (Mihawk) can slice a mountain into several pieces with extreme precision.

The other (Xebec) doesn't have that incredible sword-cutting skill because he lacks the necessary refinement and technique; however, he can create a powerful, blunt attack that can pulverize that mountain.

Which one has better sword skills, according to Oda's criteria? Mihawk. That's why Mihawk's sword skills are better than Shanks, Xebec, or Roger, and I've never argued against that.
However, Mihawk is weaker than all of them when it comes to power
So why does Mihawk have the title of "the STRONGEST swordsman in the world"?

There's no difference.

Shanks and Zoro:
- can both use cutting and non-cutting (shockwave) attacks.
- They both are left handed.
- They both can fight with their sword with and without haki
It's a common mistake, but Zoro is not left-handed. Oda is not consistent in drawing the dominant hand of many characters. Sometimes they use their right arm as their dominant arm and sometimes their left arm. With Zoro we have a lot of examples.

Talent for Conqueror Haki doesn't change just because you lose an arm.

In both Shanks' and Eustass Kid's cases, their Conqueror haki wasn't reduced by a loss of an appendage.

What a loss of an appendage would affect is the Armament proficiency Shanks has because it relies more on physical strength development.

For an Armament Specialist, to lose an arm is a significant problem, but for a Conqueror the power remains the same.

If I was Mihawk, I wouldn't be interested in fighting Shanks anymore either because it's less about his Armament proficiency and more about his Conqueror proficiency now and that doesn't suit him.

Mihawk the strongest swordsman > Shanks some random swordsman
If you continue saying that people should consider it spam.

It's too bad this discussion devolved into these guys just repeating that. That's 3 times in a row, now. The quality of the discussion has dropped greatly.

I don't think these guys even addressed a single one of my points. Dishonest arguments.
