Base Kaido one shotting a YC1 level character was such a dumb decision. It made MF look even more ridiculous than it already did. Back then, most people thought that YC1s could push most top tiers to mid/high diff, so Marco, Jozu, and Vista holding their own against 2 Admirals and Mihawk until they got distracted made sense. Now, all the characters look like total retards for believing that the WBPs had any chance at beating the Marines and Warlords

I think that's mostly attributed to Whitebeard's powers. The dude could've sunk the entire island if he got a little too upset and just decided to absolutely lose his shit and go bananas on the entire island

The goal was ultimately to just take Ace and run, but yeah, the gap between commanders and Yonkos is probably a bit much, and doesn't necessarily make that much sense.

Didn’t Aramaki one shot King? Jozu would get one shot by any named Yonko/Admiral move too nowadays. Marco’s the only one who could maybe avoid getting one shot, but even then Oda would definitely draw Marco getting laid out by a single Kamusari
