Caped Baldy = Super Monk
Everything Saitama did during training represents the same principles in Buddhist monk training.
1. He trained his body
2. He had a simple diet
3. He developed mental fortitude
4. He stopped relying on technology
5. He lost his hair
He's enlightened, but he doesn't know it. Saitama has been looking for the representative of the perfect hero, but it's a wild goose chase. He, himself, represents the perfect hero. Every other person has some unenlightened problem.
Saitama is even better than Blast because Blast isn't a mindful person, he doesn't live "in the now". He's always worried about the future, and that's not an enlightened perspective.
