Just chill and let chill
Ehh, still about a week without a chapter.
At least the latest one was quite good, I re-read it with the official translation yesterday, and it's as good as ever.

What are your thoughts on Loki's imprisonment? Since Shanks and Gaban know the truth, it seems like a plot hole that Loki got imprisoned instead of being coronated.

My pet theory for now is that Loki wanted to be a pirate, and Shanks didn't want to let him be one? To honour Harald's wishes? But even if the only way to let Loki stay on the ground was to imprison him, why mislead the whole nation into thinking he's a monster?

Ragnir is way too cute.

To cover up what happened to Harald and designated Loki as a villain, a killer. The scapegoat. If they told the truth of what happened, people might not believe them as they're only humans or they will believe them and seek vengeance on the WG.

Shanks and Gaban know what Imu and the WG are capable of, especially Gaban so imo they took the safest option to keep peace in Elbaph and respect Harald's legacy and that he transformed Elbaph and the giants into being peaceful and not warmongering and raiders anymore.

Loki is burdened with so much and a lot of people don't seem to understand that in the broader fandom sadly. He's the most tragically written character I've seen more or less.

I'm thinking there's a possibility that:
A. Fruit of Loki might have affected his temperament similar to Luffy's Nika making him a danger
B. Ratatoskr lived up to his mythological origin by instigating feud b/w the eagle (Shanks) and dragon (Loki)
C. Shanks did some morally grey secret things to make Loki look bad on purpose for some secret morally grey reason because he's a grey secretly moral guy who does morally secret grey things

Loki didn't wanted to tarnish his father's reputation and just said he killed him, because he didn't care about ruling Elbaf anyway. He was then exiled and became a pirate.
Shanks tried to convince Loki to go back to Elbaf and become King, but Loki refused. Shanks captured him and brought him back to Elbaf by force. Loki however kept up his lie about killing Herald and was cuffed up to the tree.

My friend sent me this, I'm pretty skeptical as I know the subreddit owner or a mod was posting fake spoilers there for a while at least, but they've been posting legit spoilers for the last few chapters now, so I'm not sure what to think atm:

It's way too soon to get spoilers but these sound plausible? Idk.

- Four pages of flashback.

- We are now back in present with Luffy and Company in the underworld.

- There is just a lot of talking between Loki, Hajrudin, Luffy, and others. Not much action.

- We get a panel focused on Loki where he explains why he took the blame on himself.

- Last two pages are full spread of Sun Realm.

- No break next week.

Is Oda going senile and retconning stuff from 20 chapters or Gaban for some reason is being purposely dense ? Why Is the man acting he didn't know what exactly happened? He literally witnessed Harald killing all these guards and even about him being a Holy Knight lol.
Gaban could be lying so that Harald’s image doesn’t get tarnished in front of his son. It’s not his story to tell, only Loki is fit to reveal the truth.
