Youtube product managers are gay, retarded and in the pocket of government censorship programs

No one who actually cares about the quality of their product and end user experience would remove the Upload Date sort filter

I mean I restored it anyway, but how many out of the 2.5 billion YT users worldwide know how?

@Logiko Why are they forcing us to watch what they want us to watch? Fucking fascists :Trafinger:

Mélenchon called for Venezuelans to resist against American imperialism with weapons if needed.
First time of my life I hear a French politician calling to basically kill US soldiers.
We really live in interesting times...

National Assembly will probably be dissolved and new elections called within 2 months because Macron is threatened to have his government fall by the vote of the deputies.

I might have missed that, do you have a link?

:choppawhat:

I promsie you the mods do not care about enforcing the rules nearly as much as you want them to
I know. They have a completely depoliticize vision of the rules. They still live in the old world of the market place of ideas. Still thinking that advocating for fascism - even under the cover of a respectfull/dumb reactionnary rhetoric - is just another form of freedom of expression.

Some are literally living under fascism and they still don't understand the problem.

I'm tired of this kind of behavior. It's because of people like that that we are currently living this hellish situation. We all need to radicalize and politicize or there will be a lot of death and a lot more sadness.

I’m a big Palestine supporter and I pray for the end of the Zionist regime and Netanyahu end every day but it’s genuinely crazy how big of a psyop they have done on the people’s brains. I’m convinced if Hitler said “Free Palestine” in 2026 then you’d have people supporting him.

Just because the current Iranian regime is anti Zionist and pro Palestine does NOT make it a good regime. It’s still a terrible oppressive regime that has made lives terrible for Iranians and it deserves to FALL! Simply because they have one good opinion out of a 100 doesn’t make them good people. They’re terrible. You can’t be a Palestine supporter who supports another oppressive regime. You just can’t.

You can learn to oppose two things at once. Zionists are terrible. So are the Ayatollah. We need a new Iranian government in charge asap

As of January 2026, YouTube has officially removed the "Sort by Upload date" option from its search results. This change is part of a major update to how the platform prioritizes content discovery.

Key Changes to Date Visibility

  • Removal of Chronological Sorting: You can no longer sort a search list from newest to oldest using a single toggle.
  • Renamed Menu: The "Sort By" button has been replaced with a "Prioritize" menu.
  • Timeframe Filtering: While you can’t sort results chronologically, you can still filter for videos uploaded within specific windows, such as Today, This Week, This Month, or This Year.
  • Last Hour Filter: The option to filter for videos uploaded in the "Last Hour" has been discontinued.
Why the Change?

YouTube indicated that the previous sorting tools were inconsistent and often failed to provide the most relevant results. The platform is now pushing a "Popularity" filter, which uses an algorithm to weigh engagement and watch time more heavily than the actual timestamp.

How to Find a Video's Upload Date

To see exactly when a specific video was posted:

  • Desktop: Look at the first line of the description box directly under the video title.
  • Mobile: Tap "more" to expand the description; the full date (Month/Day/Year) is hidden there.
  • Shorts: Tap the three dots and select "Description" to view the timestamp.

Loud volume warning:

The assholes fucked up playlists massively on the sidebar too, even my addon to restore various changed/ruined/removed features of Youtube and restore it back to older designs and functions hasn't been able to restore the playlists back how they used to be. They made it so you can't even clear search history without going into google privacy history settings and clearing it there or w/e.

The You section of the sidebar where your history, playlists, your videos, movies and tv, playlists and such now got shifted below ALL your lists of subscribed channels, so if you're subscribed to a ton of channels like me, you now have to scroll down for a while just to access those vital features that have been there since Youtube existed. The fucking bare minimum, essential aspects of this web-shite.

I fucking hate Youtube. Ever since Google bought them, it's just constantly striving in a race to get shittier like many other things with the internet, technology and thus social media, apps and such too.

I can't wait for a new platform to appear.

Yeap, all their updates are nonsensical and just geared towards feeding you handpicked videos. I'm able to restore my settings to pretty much pre-updates with the control panel extension, but most people won't/can't do that.

Some people still have a moral compass
No these people don’t have a moral compass. If you support dictators who oppress their own population then you’re literally against the framework of Palestinian support. Palestinians are suffering a genocide and being victim of a modern day Jewish version of Nazi Germany. You cannot support them and support dictators, you’re just a hypocrite then.
Are you Iranian? (genuine question)
I’m not. I don’t see how that’s relevant here though.

I really hope you’re not in support of an authoritarian regime with sexist and homophobic policies that has terrible policies ruining the lives of their citizen simply because they happen to support Palestine (something they wouldn’t even care for if the oppressors weren’t Jewish lol)

Indeed. But it's not up to us - as in westerners - to act. At least when the population can still fight and when the international comitees do not stipulate the need for an intervention.

It's relevant because the "we" can be used as a tool for oppression.

In our new world, where relationships of strength outer pass international rights (mainly because Trump), this can mean an intervention, regime change and a form of imperialism.

In this case, the protest seem to be genuinely anti-regime, but just a few days ago, the "we" was used to bomb Venezuela for imperialists interests, thus creating a paradigm of regime change, dozens of death and the destabilization of a nation.

We always need to be careful with "we", especially when we are talking about protest, the global south and potential US interventions.

Yeah. I’m staunchly against any Western interference in Iran. But that doesn’t change the fact that Iranian people are done with their evil government and we can still offer support to them by creating awareness online. Are we (the people not the government) not allowed to support this uprising?

I think you’re allowed to support uprisings while also being against Western intervention (until the UN decides something).

I think you misunderstood what I meant by “we” lol. I use that as a word to discuss what the world needs in general, I’m not American or from the West anyways. Same way I‘d say “we need the genocide in Gaza to stop”. Im not referring to what the government wants.

I’m not a nationalist.

Well you do what you want. I agree with you on this one.

I agree with you. It was not really against what you said. More like a general notification about imperialism. I wanted to add more context on that "we" that can be missinterpreted.

But I agree, this regime is a problem for their people.

Glad to see we’re on the same page this time and yes I thank you for making me clarify what the “we” meant because I don’t want the nationalist dumbasses in the thread to think I am in support of western intervention :kata:

@Apollo betting markets have the odds that the ayatollah falls above 65%.

If Iran falls what's next in the MENA?
I still doubt he falls without external intervention. Though the last 2 days had more intense protest turnout, tonight was mild and counterprotests in favor of the regime have been bigger. And it seems like they neutralized most Kurdish armed elements with the help of Turkish intelligence agencies. They also used a lot of brute force to suppress the protests in other areas.

But if Khamenei does get killed, I expect a lot of unrest across Iran and the Middle East. Today one of the prominent clerics in Iran warned they would declare a jihad and if enough shia mobilize across the region things will get heated. Moreover, he still has support with about a third of the population including the army and IRGC. Imagine taking down the pope, it'll be something like that for the shia who support him.

@Apollo where did the Whole "Lurs are Kurds" stuff come from?
They are in practice a Persian Dialect from what I know
Lurs are two groups afaik, one speaks closer to Persian while the others speak closer to Kurdish. They are about equal in number in Luristan. Its probably the Kurdish half they're counting as Kurds.

I just found out that in the 1980s/early 90s, damn near every female Iranian prisoner used to be raped by the prison guards so they don’t go to heaven. I don’t know if the practice is still relevant in the 2020s but it’s absolutely horrific that this type of thing ever happened. Evil regime man
