Questions & Mysteries Have you ever cried from a manga/anime?

#21
I’ve cried watching/reading One Piece quite a few times tbh

I think I at least tear up whenever I rewatch and get to Chopper’s backstory. It’s just hard for me to keep it together especially when he starts waving the flag and shouting his dream

Nami’s backstory gets me every now and then too

Corazon’s death and when he tells Law “I love you” hits me like a ton of bricks every single time

Honestly if I went through all of em I’d be here all day

Never emotionally invested enough to cry or I am just less emotional given how much shit I've gone through irl. But I definitely felt bad more than a few times.

I rarely tear up on a weekly read because I don't get that emotionally invested due to a short time I spend reading the chapters. But if I read something in a bulk, I become more attached to story and characters and may cry both at sad and wholesome moments quite easily.

OP hasn't made me cry for a long time simply because I read it on a weekly basis, but normally scenes like Kuma's backstory or Corazon's death make me cry.

Jiraiya's death was brutal, I agree. Undead Unluck has so many tragic backstories for every important character that I also often fell really sad for them to the point of tearing up. I've recently watched Suzume and the ending left me slightly teary. So yeah, it's fairly easy for a manga to make me cry, but I do need to be engrossed in the story to do so.

I cried when Usopp & the Going Merry left the gang and with Ace/Garp in Marineford.
when Sasuke learned the truth about Itachi & when Naruto found out about Jiraiya.
And many others like:
