It’s the 2010s by sheer volume of quality shows. Steins Gate, HxH (2011), Madoka, Vinland Saga, Fate Zero, Demon Slayer, AoT, Made in Abyss, Tatami Galaxy, MHA, Tokyo Ghoul, Psycho Pass, etc. During Covid, the anime industry kind of slowed down and I don’t think it has fully recovered. I don’t watch that much anime anymore either, it’s mostly isekai shit now.

90’s Anime hits different honestly the aesthetic, the art style , and also BIG shout out to the 90’s for the VOICE ACTING! Voice Acting is a skill that really peaked in the 80-90s, 2000’s is good too. The English Dub and The Sub used to be neck and neck but currently subbed has dominated.

2000s imo. Just having Death Note and Code Geass alone means it wins by default, nothing like those two shows came before them and nothing has come since. I genuinely got tricked into thinking this medium could produce stuff like that, but it was just an anomaly.

It's not better or specifically far better than the things that come before or after it like he says but it's still a pretty great manga imo and I don't think most Death Note fans rate it like ZenZu did. Why do you think it's overrated?
Looking back it is somewhat cringe („god of the new world“,oh i will become a Bad guy because i am such bored cool high iq Student, that Chick Obsessed with Yagami despite his flaws and disadvantages for her
…btw she just happened to have a shinigami which made the Mc and ryuk less Special)
