Uh no. Never. He‘s not even close to being No 2.

Edit: No 2 would go to Zetsu. It’s just insane how much he actually manipulated the events from start to finish. You think Akatsuki, Madara, etc are hot shit? Nah, Zetsu manipulated them all in the end like a pro. And the ironic part was that he was always there, the readers could have figured something was up with him, especially when he wasn’t killed off like the rest in the end, just for him to betray everyone in the end and making way for Kaguya‘s reveal. It was absolutely terrifying and badass at the same time, I read chapters online back then and was speechless and pleasantly surprised. Kaguya herself felt a bit like a deus ex machina character, but Zetsu was always there and the quirky plant dude becoming literally the main villain (indirectly)? Nah, that was just dope.

Tbh, BoS Sakura was stronger than Naruto atp and Sasori fought someone who knew almost every jutsu of him.

Afaik wasn't the 3rd Kazekage the strongest one back then? Don't get me wrong, every Kazekage was a complete fodder to this point but the 3rd Kazekage should be able to keep up with the 4th ninja world war kages at least, considering he was the strongest before Gaara...

Lmao the high Jonin level stuff is me trolling MonsterKekdo. Obviously Sasori is Kage level although I sincerely believe his general level among the fanbase is very overrated (especially because of that Deidara statement which is demonstrably false). He’s on the higher end of Low Kage or the lower end of Mid Kage if you’re being generous but that’s it. He’s still weaker than Deidara and nowhere near Kisame.

The 3rd Kazakage was indeed the strongest but the mistake people do is think that Gaara never surpassed him and using Gaara’s feats to leech. 3rd Kazekage’s power really isn’t allat as seen in the Sasori vs Sakura/Chiyo fight. WA Gaara stomps the 3rd.

Also BoS Sakura, while underrated, is still pretty terrible compared to other Kage lvl opponents. She’s stronger than BoS Naruto but that’s not saying much since BoS Naruto is frankly pretty fodder too. At least without Kurama taking over. We know for a fact that their duo (+ Sai and Yamato) are no match for BoS Sasuke who’s considerably weaker than Hebi Sasuke. So it’s pretty detrimental for Sasori’s scaling.

Sasoris hype is real,but unfortunately,as much as his fans will gaslight you into thinking otherwise, there's really no getting around the fact that he lost to Sakura,at the start of shippuden. Bs win,yes, but that pretty much applies to the whole gang

Killing the third Kazekage is a pretty good accomplishment on paper,but Kishi really doesnt respect the sand village lol. Keep in mind, they were being carried by and couldn't really kill part 1 Gaara,and Sasoris other big thing is "destroying a country" which again,good on paper,but he probably just killed fodder lol
