Death Note is overrated as fuck:gonope:
Shush
Looking back it is somewhat cringe („god of the new world“,oh i will become a Bad guy because i am such bored cool high iq Student, that Chick Obsessed with Yagami despite his flaws and disadvantages for her
…btw she just happened to have a shinigami which made the Mc and ryuk less Special)
The point is that him getting the Death Note deluded him lol

Rare Steven L

Death note >>> Fairy tale
Nah,by no means

I watched DN once and then never rewatched it again.L massive carries DN

Its a good "watch" for the first time but after that,it will lose its "mystery".

Rokka: Die Helden der sechs Blumen has the same problem but not as heavy as DN.Such Shows works with the "oha" moments. And this moments just dont exist anymore once you finishd the show.

Thats a lot for a show like DN

I think i watched NGE,The Slayers and Monster Rancher 7 or more times as well.

For example,i would never rewatch a long-running battleshounen.A certain Arc,sure. But never the entire show
It's funny because stuff like NGE might actually be the perfect example for an overrated anime
I see that being overrated far more than things like Death Note, at least nowadays I do
Lots of pretentious people acting like it's the deepest and most profound anime in history lol
Although I do love it and I do think it's a deep and relatable anime, but, too many of it's fans treat it like the greatest thing in existence.

NGE is the reason i started watching Anime again in like 2012?Or rather Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22.Saw it in the TV and was blown away

For NGE,it's one of the most influential Animes ever but its by no means perfect.Second part with Asuka is kinda rushed and the ending suxs ass.The End of Evangelion has a "better" ending as its the canon ending but still no very good.

Without bias,its a 8/10 Anime albeit i give it a 9/10.

3.33 is something else.Last movie is decent imo.

The only perfect Anime is imo FMA:B.But its also not a Anime i rewatched often.

Sailor Moon is also one of my fav Animes to this day

2000s, nothing is even close
Lot of great shows in all genre.. Code geass, Clannad....
90s is the closest but only because of Slam Dunk, Jojo and Rorouni Kenshin

The best Era for me was when you came home after school and were just on time for the Animes to start on TV. Dragonball, Pokémon, Beyblade, Digimon, Yugioh, etc.

Always postponing the homework to later.

:milaugh:

Playing Beyblades irl was kinda boring though, but yugioh took over our playgrounds in no time. That was an amazing time. Meeting up in local trading card stores and participating in local tournaments was awesome.

It was kinda sad when the decline started over the years and the stores closed down one by one.

It do be faaax tho.

Then you add Monster, FMA and Naruto to it, and it's just next level compared to the rest.
Lol maybe but death note and code geass alone aren't enough to put it above the other eras, you of all people should know that much
Even with the other ones you added I still don't know if the 2000s are the best era in terms of anime/manga. The 90s just had some absolute bangers between things like bebop and berserk
