The same way his father did? What the fucking question is that? You're acting like no Elbaf ship had ever reached MJ, when Harald was going back and forth weekly.
Harald spent a century on the sea pillaging and sailing with those who knew how to navigate.

Loki has never left his island nor has any of his crew.

You can’t seriously tell me you can’t tell the difference

Hmmm, let me see... everything...?
Like what? Loki sailed to WCI in the past, met Lola fell in love, then got rejected. Why waste panels re explaining something we’re already aware of?

Loki didn't sail alone? And we get a confirmation this very chapter that soldiers from the castle followed him, meaning that he is recognized as the king. You think he can't command his father's vessels to sail for him? Six fucking years, and he couldn't find ONE navigator in the whole of Elbaf?

No he can’t because outside of the castle Lokis known in Elbaf as the usurper who betrayed Elbaf.

He’s not recognized as a king by the people of Elbaf only by the small amount of people who know what occurred here.

Given Loki's character, the second he left Elbaf, with a small army backing him up no less, Mariejois should've been destroyed. Oda wrote himself in yet another corner.
Maybe Loki was building force to destroy the WG... but I just can't see him as the type to do build an empire with commanders and all. Yeah, I don't see how Oda can justify the 8 years gap in a way that feels in-character.

Edit : I didn't see the previous replies, I guess Loki looking for the Galley La giants all this time could work.

CoC Haki Skill Tree:
- Lv1: Basic CoC without any control (example: Impel down Luffy)
- Lv2: Basis CoC with control (example: Post Time-Skip Luffy)
- Lv3: Advance CoC, imbuing attacks (example: God Valley Roger)
- Lv4: Advance CoC, imbuing defences (example: God Valley Rocks)
- Lv5 (MAX): Super ultra strong CoC that trumps any bullshit devil fruit (example: Joy Boy's knot)

Roger and Shanks on their Prime both reach Lv5 on their CoC Haki Skill Tree and that's what put them on another Level to the rest.

This is what Oda just send me, so you can all stop your powerleveling debate.

no fr I don’t see loki being the type to get nothing done in 8 years or establish connections like his father, wtf could he have been doing to still been relatively Unkown?

If i was in charge of one piss id tell myself, "Wow, I just spent 6 months away from my maincast i really miss them" and I would give them focus instantly after the flashback but Oda finishes the flashback and still keeps focusing on side characters

But even then, he'd look for the Galley dudes for 1, 2 years, then call it quits and rush MJ all the same. He's not the strategic type. Even if you say that 1 human year to a giant is nothing, it's still stupid to have someone with Loki's personality waste 8 years out at sea.
