Controversial OP Market Simulator (Agenda based platform)

#1
I don't know if i should post this here. But i have no idea where to post it anyways.

So .. as the title says.

I have been inspired by many creators and an actual functional market"ish" from Jay D Legend Discord Server. So i thought why not make an actual platform where its easy to play around with. Of course everything is meant for Fun and no real money is involved what so ever.

Its easy to use and navigate "hopefully". Once you sign up you will have a balance of 10k. Everything works like a real market except without the "ledger". the price will move with each transactions.

Here is the link

Its in a testing phase now so whatever you do will be reset later.

More fun features will be added later (Challenges that rewards you with Agenda Power to change images - descriptions of characters etc).

Got a few questions.

1.) Will this gets overload like SP?
2.) How does the price update works?
3.) Are the updates bias or fair?
4.) Are all the prices start from 0 or will be adjusted to the current stage of the story?
What is SP?

The prices updates with each transactions. So just like the guy who bought Sanji. I will explain how it works here

Each character have their own Market Cap. All start with 0. --- now when you boy shares of said character with 0 market cap the prices will explode a bit since its early investments. If their market cap reaches more than 100k then gradually it becomes difficult to increase the price since the market cap is high. That means more investors/buyers need to buy more shares in order to increase the prices further.

Now when it comes to selling your shares.. its obviously if you bought earlier you can sell your profit on those who bought after you. But at the same time you risk missing out on much more if more buyers "buying powers" is more than what you are selling.

This answers 2+3

As for 4.. for now i am still undecided. For now Prices are impacted by users. But i am also thinking of implementing a system where "whales" push prices higher due to story updates .. say Ussop finally did something big then a "systematic whale" buys a huge amount of shares of Ussop then everyone who invested could cash out or keep holding and risk a whale sell off if Ussop took an L.

For now i am only testing and seeing how it goes.

Something like integrated nativly in the forum would be cool
Its possible but using the same database for the forum current users will be a huge undertaking. But there is a way to add a user tag for this platform in your forum profile.

Who decides what stocks are up and what are down?
For now its the users. If you buy the prices will go up if you sell it goes down. Like how a real market works. So its in your power to battle it out against each others in who could gain more "berries" and keep a big "holdings of shares".

If any user goes bankrupt as in their shares worth = below 1000. They be given Berries by the end of the week. (Not implemented yet)

I think you should create a separate thread for the stocks, add a poll, and ask a mod to change the poll every week so users can vote for the stocks

Tho that means the majority fan bases will get to dictate the stock prices lol

The way you describe it is already been done in Jay D legend Discord Server. This one takes on another approach.

Give this one a try. I am also thinking of implementing a method where the prices can push high or low depending on the story using a "Whale like System"

i have explained it briefly up above :

Mihawk's stock crashed within the first 24 hours..
It didn't crash no.. the timeframe switcher up above means what happens during that timeframe. If you always keep an eye on 30 D which is a 30 days you will see who has the most buys.

The bubbles will turn red if a crash happens. And if a strong buys happens that pushes a price up to 99% then a "Black Red Lightning" will diverge around the character.

Just so you know i am not the one who bought Mihawk :goyea:

SP means stockpiece, it's dead website anyway.

I thought the price will be updated by a moderator after new release chapter, the price goes up or down depends on the character's development.
So just like the regular stock market but more like bitcoin which means each stock doesn't tie to anything, just an icon. Feel like I'm buying an empty brand, it will crash anytime with zero backbone support. Also seems like too realism and will be harder to sky rocket my net worth like stock piece does. Maybe players can gain money some other way, else some players are going to run out of money fast.
