Chapter 1170’s Gaban explanation for how CoC affects Immortals is seemingly “With enough CoC attacks, immortals have their Regeneration slowed and feel so much pain that they cannot continue fighting”
Gaban seemingly doesn’t say Immortal can be killed. He says that immortals can get knocked out by too much pain and slowed down regeneration
Which kind of makes sense since Sommers is alive yet Sommers fought the Roger pirates seemingly multiple times and got stomped each and every time. Why would Sommers be alive if he could be killed?
Imu’s reaction to Harald’s death is seemingly that it’s extremely rare for this to happen. The only other scenario similar to this is Imu and the WG avoiding Wano simply because of Ryuma same way they avoided Elbaf because of Loki
