Current Events What did Oda mean by making Hajruddin fodder and Loki top tier?

Does Oda thinks Race Mixing give you weak offspring?

I don't think it's good that Loki is strong because he is a pureblooded ancient giant eugenic baby.
The elders have saved the world. If the elders had not arranged the marriage, Loki would not have been born.

It is not realistic that Shamrock is as strong as Shanks even though Shanks has more combat experience and Shamrock has only Imu hack power.
Sanji's brothers are not equally strong either
So Elders bigotry saved the world?

That's what you get when the manga Is basically genetic/hereditary piece.

Yes, and that's not good. It shows that bigots are right about pure blood. Harald should marry Ida and refuse to marry Estrid.
Harald was portrayed so principle and was able to to change the way of Giants from violence to Diplomacy

He was so spineless on this issue because he Low-key agrees to it

Not really, even Loki doesn’t believe this.

Hajrudin, due to having the blood of an outsider, would be better suited to uniting the giant kingdoms. Loki is just Elbaf’s greatest warrior.
You can't have a weak King in a warriors country also Loki is less emotional more logical etc... Hajrudin is just a little better than peasants. :goyea:

Hajruddin is just that weak......
There's really nothing logical statement needed to say
Even 0.1% of Harald tax doesn't apply to him.
Being half Ancient giant and he looks just like ordinary giant from the start.
Harald son
Half brother of Loki
:PepeNumberOne:
He share the blood of two special specimen
Training to be warrior since childhood

Still weak asf.....
It's hard to explain fiction that even the author doesn't think twice about.

Hajrudin was initially never planned to be someone strong or related to harald or loki. For that matter I don't think harald and loki as concepts even existed in dressrossa.

*[edit: I realized I posted a panel from WCI. I could've sworn Lola's link to Loki was mentioned sooner.]

I agree on Haj, though. I think Oda intended him to be the modernized version of Dorry & Brogy (alongside a second giant to be introduced in a then-future arc), but rewrote him to be connected to the royal family of Elbaf once Oda steamlined again the narrative post Wano.

100%
Oda want to create some Luffy moments and aura during the Colosseum battle
And sacrifice Hajruddin, who's strength is just about being an Elbaf giant during that time.
And spoil the future development.

Price paid for future development.
But hajrudin was defacto the strongest giant at the time?
There was droggy and broggy, who were believed to be dead/lost, and there was Loki who we learn they dont even utter the name from the intro chapters of Elbaf
I dont see how oda bend anything

Well, two arcs after Dressrosa,in Whole Cake,Oda gave us the Loki silhouette that was hinting that he would have been way more fodder than Hardujin. Then he changed his mind about the character

I think we can discount eugenics from Oda's list of flaws. However, I still find it weird that Harald didn't go against the elders of elbaph and make Hajruddin his heir irregardless of their pressure. I mean he loved Ida and then had a baby with another woman? I think Oda's portrayal of Harald is quite poor.
He's always a bitch made. That's why he lament to Ida during her death bed

Yes, Hajrudin (a regular giant) is 100% genetically and physically weaker than Loki (an ancient giant)

Though that doesn't necessarily mean he could never be a high tier or top tier on his own

If Oda bothered to actually give him proper Haki and a DF, he'd be over Dorry and Broggy imo

Imagine a giant with Logia, as he said before... :josad:

As for CoC, he already has ambition to be king of all giants (not just Elbaf, but all giants in the world) and is first the son of Harald (a confirmed CoC user) so there's potential there too
