Not sure if it's just me but aren't the fights a little hard to read sometimes?
Also that was a crazy move from Yoru to randomly switch back and shoot him down like that.

Has the plot actually had any meaningful progress that actually requires me to sit down and read or is it just 40 second reads yet again? And has the pathetic art gotten any better?

I like it, but due to how short the chapters are I would recommend for you to wait until it's finished

Just read the manga again and if you still don't like it then you can drop it again

The art fluctuates and so does chapter length

They aren't usually this bad, I'm not sure how the choreography got so bad in this chapter.
