Character Discussion Did Roger simping for Shakky make him lose all his aura?

Roger turned out to be a massive fraud.

Failed to separate himself in terms of feats from , Roger , WB , Garp, Harald.

Ducked BM.

Got lucky against Shiki.

Never beat any top tier in one v one.

Had to beg oden from WB and got lucky with him and hence became PK.

What a massive fraud and a clown.

Rocks mogged him hard let it be charisma, crew , action , presence , aspirations.

And Rocks defeated an Admiral. Let’s be honest I’d wager any of them would have done the same. Doesn’t matter if it was WB, Roger or Garp. None of them would fall to an Admiral.

Rookie rocks invaded marijoa and was able to enter imu's room something no one has achieved yet. Then on his way killed an admiral as a side quest. Roger only wishes he was rocks.

Roger hasn't even managed to kill a Holy Knight yet. Roger killed Squardo's crew.

What made Roger lose his “aura” was Oda failing to differentiate him from any of his contemporaries. He didn’t beat any of his rivals (I’m a WB simp so I’ll exclude him, but have him beat up Shiki or Big Mom for goodness’ sake).

In the end, the only thing on his side was luck, and it ultimately diminishes Luffy’s dream because we know all that talk about “beating the other top tiers” is empty.

It’s wild to realize that Luffy actually overpowering Kaido is already more than we got from Roger.

Roger is ass cheeks

Lost to Shakky in every encounter

Never defeated Garp even once

Teamed up with 5 other top tiers and still couldn't make a dent in a fart of Imu's power

Needed to team up on Xebec to tie with him

Would've lost to Shiki without plot armour

Never defeated Whitebeard even once

Begged Whitebeard for Oden

His best accomplishment is finding what Joyboy left behind... and then doing absolutely nothing with it

Worst of all, dude probably never figured out Imu's existence

He kinda did,but this was the point. In the One Piece world there are many legendary people,but legends very often in the One Piece world are very different from reality!
So Oda showed us that even if people in general saw Roger as a violent pirate,he was actually very similar to Luffy.
And altough Roger loses aura in this way,it makes sense because this justifies why Shanks, Rayleigh and the others see Luffy as similar to Roger
