The problem is oda also likes escalation tho. So if they start to need to kill the arguably weakest soldiers of Imu this means the higher up would need that as well

Yes, in the Sun World in the present, and he also took him down several times when the Holy Knights tried to come and take Shanks on the Oro Jackson. Well sommers is all about "love" so it makes sense for him to be a sanji opponent.
