The Digimon verse is very huge and complex. There are approximately 3 Digimon worlds, having their respective god administrating all over it. Yggdrasil/King Drasil has its Royal Knights, Homeostasis has the Olympos XII Digimons and the other god has the Ancient Digimons.

Omnimon is part of the Royal Knights and one of the strongest. Alphamon is part of them, too. Imperialdramon PM is often the strongest of them.

The anime doesn't show very much of it, the games and cards have all that lore dump.

I do love the idea of Kidd meeting man marked by flames though. I have a feeling he and Shanks might be related by blood/lineage distantly and this is why Oda is being so secretive about Shanks' mum and thus her lineage too.

I also suspect similar things for Sora, why she is called Sora, her last name is unknown and why we know so little about her, same with Rouge too but maybe Oda really just doesn't care a bout mothers anymore or even hates them and is going all in on his misogny bagua and mommy issues /s.
